Ohio Petition, Video Solidify Sinister Anti-Family Agenda
Washington, D.C.: “The ACLU is a familiar face in the fight for radical leftist policies, but they are now emerging as the primary enemy of the American family,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “The ACLU, fueled by millions in donations by figures like Sheryl Sandberg, is a driving force behind a pro-abortion constitutional amendment in Ohio. This amendment isn’t just about abortion, however. This is a declaration of war from the ACLU on parents’ rights.”
A professional petition signature collector this week in Fremont, Ohio was caught on video admitting that the so-called reproductive rights in the proposed language contained no restriction or mention of age or even sex. Despite questions and clarifications by the man taking the video, the petition worker (who’s from Michigan) continued to insist that everyone – even children – should have the right to choose and without the interference of parents.
“This interaction is disturbing and very telling,” Martin continued. “The ACLU-backed groups in Ohio pushing for this amendment are clearly on the warpath to chop kids off from their parents and families. They want our children making life-altering decisions with only care and guidance from school professionals or Planned Parenthood profit managers, but not their own parents.
“The American Civil Liberties Union is apparently setting themselves up as the most prominent force against concerned parents in America. Make no mistake, this move doesn’t stay in Ohio. Using every legal, electoral, civil, and cultural vehicle they can, the ACLU and their radical leftist ilk are moving fast to end the foundational right of parents to raise and make decisions about their kids.
“Conservatives need to understand how these dots connect and step up boldly to defend the rights of parents before despicable amendments like these slip through the cracks of voters’ knowledge. We cannot afford to let the ACLU destroy the rights and responsibilities entrusted to parents alone to raise and protect their own children.”
