Governors Say ‘Not in My State!’
Defying the wishes of the American people, President Obama remains determined to import tens of thousands of poorly screened Muslims as refugees from the civil war in Syria, and scatter them in communities across America. Taxpayer-funded agencies are ready to help the refugees gain access to welfare programs and enroll their children in local public schools.
After FBI Director James Comey told Congress on Oct. 22 that his agency is unable to vet Syrians adequately, the House of Representatives voted by over two-thirds (289 to 137) to add an extra layer of screening to the refugee resettlement process.
Almost two-thirds of the nation’s governors (31 out of 50) have told the president not to send Syrian refugees to their states without assurances that the influx would not become a Trojan Horse. Even New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who helped re-elect Obama in 2012 with a well-timed gesture of support during Hurricane Sandy, told the president that “I will not accept any refugees from Syria.”
Obama’s response to this groundswell of public opinion was to lash out with peevish petulance. Speaking in Turkey, which is 98% Muslim, Obama said: “When I hear folks say that maybe we should just admit the Christians but not the Muslims, that’s shameful. That’s not American. That’s not who we are.” A few days later in Malaysia, where Islam is the official state religion, Obama said that a preference for Christian refugees would constitute “prejudice and discrimination” that “helps ISIL and undermines our national security.”
Since Christians are the most widely persecuted group in the Middle East, you’d expect that Christians would be more likely to qualify as refugees, which requires demonstrating a “well-founded fear of being persecuted.” Yet of the 2,184 Syrian refugees Obama has already allowed to come here during the past four years, only 53 (or 2%) are Christian and 2,098 (96%) are Muslim, according to State Department statistics.
After Donald Trump called for a “database” of Muslim immigrants, Dr. Ben Carson said “we should have a database on everybody who comes into this country. I want to know where they came from, I want to know where they’re going and why they’re here.”
Databases do exist but, as Trump says, our government lacks “good management procedures” to insure that visitors to our country follow the law. It’s estimated that half of the 11-plus million illegal aliens failed to leave when their time was up, even though they are on a government database.
It wasn’t only the City and County of San Francisco that released the seven-times-convicted, five-times-deported Mexican who killed Kate Steinle; Obama’s ICE let him go, too. ICE has released many thousands of criminal aliens onto unsuspecting local communities instead of returning them to their countries of origin, including 121 who were subsequently charged with murdering Americans in the last five years.
According to government figures compiled by Jessica Vaughan, more than 8,100 deportable aliens (including 3,000 felons) were released by sanctuary cities and counties in just the first eight months of last year. Some 1,900 of those wrongly released aliens have already re-offended 4,300 more times, racking up 7,800 new charges including murder, violent assault, rape and child rape.
It’s ludicrous to think that our government can effectively screen refugees from Syria or from any Muslim country. Consider the following security breaches that were reported in just one week since the Paris attacks on Friday, Nov. 13:
On Saturday, Nov. 14, three Syrian men were stopped in the Caribbean island of St. Maarten after arriving on a flight from Haiti. Using fake Greek passports, they had already flown from Europe to Brazil, then to the Dominican Republic, then Haiti.
On Nov. 16, eight Syrians in two family units (two men, two women, and four children) were caught illegally entering the United States from Mexico as they crossed the Juarez Lincoln Bridge in Laredo, Texas.
On Nov. 16, six young men (five from Pakistan and one from Afghanistan) crossed illegally from Mexico into Arizona near Tucson. They were captured 16 miles inside our border, and Sheriff Paul Babeu warns that “terrorists are using well-established smuggling routes to come across the border.”
On Nov. 17, five young men from Syria were detained in Honduras after arriving from Costa Rica on their way to Guatemala and onward through Mexico to the United States. They were using stolen Greek passports which had been doctored to replace the original photos with photos of the Syrians.
On Nov. 18, a Syrian woman was stopped in Honduras and sent back to El Salvador after flying on a Greek passport. On Thursday, Nov. 19, another Syrian woman was arrested in Costa Rica after flying there from Peru with a fake Greek passport.
On Nov. 19, eight tough-looking young men from Morocco were arrested at the airport in Istanbul claiming to be tourists, but carrying maps and directions to Germany. Turkish authorities believe the men were being smuggled by ISIS to join the fight in Europe on behalf of the Muslim caliphate.
On Nov. 20, five Syrians, consisting of one family unit and two additional males, crossed the international bridge from Mexico into the United States at Laredo, Texas.
On Nov. 21, a Syrian woman and two Pakistani young men without passports were detained by officials in Honduras after they entered that country by bus from Nicaragua, presumably bound for the United States.
Nevertheless, on Nov. 20, the Obama administration petitioned the Supreme Court to overrule the lower federal judges who blocked his executive amnesty of five million illegal aliens. Tell your elected public officials to just say no to Syrian refugees.
How Much Diversity Must We Tolerate?
In his seventh year of “fundamentally transforming the United States of America,” as Barack Obama memorably promised five days before he was elected president, we’re learning new details about thousands of immigrants who were released from custody after being convicted of serious, violent felonies and horrific sex crimes. Instead of doing his duty to keep bad people out of America (or remove them if they manage to sneak in), Obama is bringing us even more diversity by accepting thousands of refugees from terrorist-harboring countries such as Syria and Somalia.
Immigrants who commit a major crime inside the U.S. are supposed to be returned to their home country after completing their prison sentence. But a number of countries are refusing to take back their own criminals, so ICE just turns them loose in U.S. communities, freeing them to return to their criminal lifestyle.
We have a U.S. law that is supposed to deal with this; it requires our State Department to impose visa sanctions on countries that refuse to take back their own citizens. But Obama’s State Department simply ignores this law; that’s called executive discretion.
Senators Jeff Sessions (R-AL) and Chuck Grassley (R-IA) have gotten Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to admit the awful truth: “One hundred twenty-one convicted criminals who faced deportation orders between 2010 and 2014 were never removed from the country and now face murder charges for killing Americans.”
Hundreds of other immigrants who were convicted of violent sex crimes, including depraved acts against children, were released into unsuspecting U.S. communities without being registered as sex offenders. The Boston Globe compiled a database of nearly a thousand immigrant sex fiends, a job made more difficult because ICE seems to care less about the safety of Americans than about the “privacy” of foreign criminals who shouldn’t even be here.
The excuse given for these outrageous releases is a Supreme Court decision called Zadvydas which held that persons awaiting deportation can’t be held indefinitely. That 2001 decision was accepted by the George W. Bush administration, which released hundreds of violent criminal immigrants including the accused perpetrator of the D.C. Mansion murders, Darron Wint.
Here are just a few of the blood-curdling crimes committed by illegal aliens released by the Obama Administration to continue their fun and games at the expense of very young girls.
Felix Rodriguez, a 57-year-old sex offender, was convicted of raping children as young as four years old in the 1990s, but was freed to continue his crimes because Cuba refused to take him back. He then fatally shot his girlfriend in Kansas City, pled guilty, and is serving a 10-year sentence in a Missouri prison.
Andrew Rui Stanley, who was convicted in 2000 of many counts of sodomizing a child, was released in the U.S. after Brazil failed to provide a passport to accept him back to his native country. Again on the streets in our country, he viciously abused three St. Louis children, and the U.S. taxpayers are now supporting him in a U.S. prison.
Cuba refused to take back Luis-Leyva Vargas after he served time in a Florida prison for unlawful sex with a teenage girl. After he was released by ICE, he kidnapped an 18-year-old girl in Virginia at knifepoint and raped her. He is now serving a 55-year prison sentence, which U.S. taxpayers (instead of Cuban) are paying for.
Meanwhile, Obama has effectively given up enforcing our immigration laws at the workplace, which was the essential trade-off for the 1986 amnesty that Reagan reluctantly signed. A Washington Times headline revealed, “Obama gives free pass to businesses that hire illegals,” including aliens who should have been deported for violent crimes.
Although Obama used his executive action to give valuable benefits to the Communist rulers of Cuba without any quid pro quo whatsoever that might benefit the United States, Cuba still refuses to take back its citizens who have been convicted of crimes against Americans. Cuba refused to take back 878 criminals in 2014 and has already rejected nearly 400 criminals in 2015.
Cuba is the biggest offender among the countries that refuse the return of their own citizens who committed crimes in our country, but there are at least a dozen other countries doing the same thing. It’s bad enough that those criminals committed vicious crimes against our girls, but it adds insult to injury when we have to spend U.S. taxpayers’ money to support foreign criminals for years in our institutions.
Republican Members of Congress have proposed several legislative solutions for this lack of cooperation by our so-called friendly neighbors, but to no avail. For starters, Congress should cut off all foreign aid and all other favors to countries that refuse to take back their own criminals.
Adios, America!
Ann Coulter lives up to her reputation of issuing warnings and political comment that nobody else dares to say in her newest book, Adios, America! It’s aptly titled; she makes the case that it is Goodbye to the America we know and love if we don’t stop diluting our population with people who don’t love America, don’t respect our Constitution and laws, don’t even speak our language, and commit all sorts of unspeakable crimes. Adios, America! brims with the scathing humor that has propelled Ann’s previous ten books into bestsellers.
Ann Coulter gives hundreds of specific examples of major crimes committed by illegal immigrants and, in particular, crimes against very young women and girls. She shows the devious ways that the media conceal the fact that these horrendous crimes are committed by illegals whom our government should never have let into our country.
The media cover-up doesn’t conceal merely the nationality of these criminals or the frequency of their crimes. The media cover-up also conceals the depravity of these crimes that are so horrific I can’t bring myself to describe them in this report.
Adios, America! spells out chapter and verse on the attitudes and customs of foreigners whom Obama is welcoming by the millions into America, including their horrific mistreatment of very young women and even some younger than teens. Where are the feminists when we need them to shout about the “war on women”?
There are many devious ways that foreigners can get into the U.S. and then cash in on our generous welfare system. One route is the family unification policy, which qualifies for entry all varieties of alleged relatives, plus fake marriages by foreigners to U.S. citizens.
The racket called asylum allows a foreigner to claim without proof that he faces persecution in his home country, and then he can qualify for admission to the U.S. plus generous financial support by the U.S. taxpayers. The Tsarnaev family, whose sons bombed the Boston Marathon, were admitted after phony claims of persecution and then cashed in for $100,000 in U.S. handouts.
Ann Coulter exposes the giant deception covered by the trendy liberal goal of “diversity” which excused dumping 100,000 Somalis on Minnesota. We’ve allowed 30 million Mexicans to settle inside our country; that’s one-quarter of Mexico’s entire population of 120 million.
In 2011, the Government Accountability Office reported that the minimum estimate of criminal aliens in U.S. prisons and jails was 351,000, a figure that includes only a portion of the criminal aliens incarcerated in state and local facilities.
Ann asks a relevant question, “Why can’t we adopt Israel’s policy on immigration?” What do you think Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would do if thousands of Israelis were being murdered by uninvited foreigners coming illegally into Israel?
If you guessed, “Give them in-state college tuition, driver’s licenses, and free medical care,” you would be laughed at. But that’s what Obama gives to our illegal aliens.
Ann Coulter’s book quotes scores of news reports describing the horrendous crimes committed by aliens against U.S. citizens, but somehow the news reports consistently fail to mention that the criminal was an alien. Here’s a typical headline: “Man wanted for Raping Girl, 11, Robbing Her Family.” The news story never used the word “immigrant” but described the criminal only as a “man,” or “a 26-year-old man.”
To illustrate the false slogan that “diversity is our strength,” Ann tells what happened to A.G. Currie Middle School in Tustin, California, which flew 65 foreign flags to make it a “model multicultural school” because, as its principal said in 1992, “we are looking to build on our diversity as a strength.” By 2009, the school had become 91% Hispanic. Ann’s comment: “Nine percent more Mexicans, and it will have achieved perfect diversity.”
When we’re told we can’t fence our southern border because “fences don’t work” — since people can always go over, under or around them — Ann responds: that’s like saying “wheels don’t work” because you might have a flat tire. Remember, the Great Wall of China is still doing its job after centuries.
A new Gallup poll reports that Americans are becoming more liberal on social issues. In fact, Americans are becoming more conservative on many social issues such as pro-life, so our candidates don’t have to take any more advice from those highly paid strategists who tell them to avoid mention of social issues. Americans want our border closed to this flow of anti-American foreigners and criminals.
Hillary Plans to Stuff the Ballot Box
Hillary Clinton has laid out her game plan for winning back the White House for herself and her husband next year. Let’s hope Republicans were paying attention. She apparently decided it won’t be enough to rely on the 66 million people who voted twice for Barack Obama, many of whom are disillusioned by the failure of “hope and change.” Obama promised an end to wars in the Middle East, a more prosperous economy for the average American, and more harmonious race relations, but all three problems have only gotten worse.
Since Hillary won’t have the youthful exuberance that propelled Obama to his unlikely double victory, she plans to build a whole new electorate out of people who didn’t vote for Obama. That’s the gist of her speech in Houston on June 4, which her friends at MSNBC called a “far-reaching vision for expanding access to the ballot box.”
Who are the new voters to whom Hillary wants to give “access to the ballot box”? They include felons and non-citizens, along with anyone who can’t prove identity, citizenship, or residence within a voting precinct.
She also plans to harvest millions of new votes by expanding the dangerous practices of same-day registration and early voting, which enable Democrats to badger, berate, bribe, or bamboozle reluctant, low-information voters to the polls. Democratic Party and union workers can identify reluctant voters and harass them until the party worker verifies that they have actually cast their ballot.
In her new book Adios, America!, Ann Coulter asks a relevant question: “Should Democrats be given 30 million new voters?” Answering her own question, Ann says, “There is simply no reason for Republicans to legalize 30 million people who will vote 8-2 against them.”
Although Hillary gave lip service to the notion that “every citizen” should vote, her Democratic allies are in court trying to stop every reasonable means of verifying a voter’s citizenship. That’s no surprise because, according to a recent Rasmussen survey, a majority (53%) of Democrats believe that non-citizens, including even illegal immigrants, should be allowed to vote.
Hillary’s commitment to voting by “every citizen” is belied by her earlier promise to “go even further” than Obama on amnesty for illegal immigrants. By “go even further,” she explained, she would include all 11-plus million (not just Obama’s 5 million) and she would give them full citizenship with voting rights, not just “legal status” with permission to work.
The Census Bureau estimates that 22 million non-citizen adults, both legal and illegal, are living permanently in this country. That’s almost 10 percent of our entire population 18 and over, and more than half of those non-citizens are concentrated in just five states.
Arizona, which is on the front lines of illegal immigration, has been trying to require proof of citizenship as part of voter registration ever since that simple requirement was approved by Arizona’s voters in 2004. The Obama administration refused to add the proof-of-citizenship requirement to the federal form that Arizona must use for motor-voter registrations.
Hillary assigned her top lawyer to sue Wisconsin to overturn its effective Voter I.D. law, one of the best in the nation. But that’s not all. The New York Times reported that the left-wing Hungarian billionaire, George Soros, has agreed to pour $5 million into a national effort to protect and expand early voting.
Federal law provides that voting in federal elections take place in even years on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November, also known as “Election Day.” Just as no member of a jury should vote on guilt or innocence until all the evidence has been presented at a trial, voters should not cast their ballots before political campaigns are over.
The U.S. Constitution requires that the delegates to the Electoral College cast their ballots for President on the same day. Many states also continue to adhere to the tradition of Election Day being on one day in November, not spread out over the ridiculous 35 days that resulted in a political circus in Ohio in 2012.
The integrity of elections is just as important as the universally accepted rules for jury trials, whereby jurors are asked to keep their minds open and withhold judgment until after closing arguments. Spreading out voting over an extended period of a month or more makes it impractical for poll watchers to monitor the voting for fraud.
Isn’t it odd that Democrats are all in favor of busing churchgoers in some neighborhoods to polling booths, but then insist that churches in Republican neighborhoods never try to influence an election?
The United States now receives more refugees than all other countries combined and plops them down in what are called “seed communities” where local opposition is not tolerated. There’s even a special federal program to combat “pockets of resistance” such as the uproar in Twin Falls, Idaho where the U.S. government wants to send 300 refugees from war-torn Syria.
The July 16 murders of four U.S. Marines and a U.S. Navy sailor in Chattanooga by a Kuwaiti-born Palestinian is a good example of the dangers of allowing Muslims to enter our country legally as refugees. Like the Boston Marathon bombing by the Tsarnaev brothers in 2013, and like the dozens of Somali young men who have disappeared from Minneapolis, Chattanooga is another case where children of immigrants are radicalized by the terrorist ideologies of the countries their parents came from.
