St. Louis, MO: This week, Tammy Kobza of Iowa will join the Eagle Forum Education & Legal Defense Fund team as the National Leadership Coordinator. She will serve as the hub for state and issue leaders and volunteers of the Phyllis Schlafly Eagles network from around the country. She brings a strong and lengthy resume filled with both career and volunteer achievements, focused on promoting the family and American values. She met and began to work with Phyllis as our volunteer Iowa State Leader in 2009.
"Tammy is the consummate happy warrior," said Ed Martin, President of the Eagle Forum Education & Legal Defense Fund. "She embodies not only the values that Phyllis Schlafly fought for but the same smiling temperament for which Phyllis was so famous. She will be an asset to our team and a great connecting point for our Eagles around the country."
"Phyllis trusted Tammy Kobza to represent her in one of the most politically important states in the country," said Helen Marie Taylor, Chairman of Eagle Forum Education & Legal Defense Fund. "We are proud and believe that Phyllis would be proud as well to have Tammy serving in such a vital role in Phyllis's organization."
John Schlafly noted: "Tammy Kobza has been a very effective networker and leader in Iowa on many major issues and events. She is a very hard worker who motivates people and gets things done! She will be an excellent addition to our team."
"Much like my mother, Tammy understands the true conservative position on all our key issues," said Andy Schlafly. "Whether it's supporting motherhood, family, and the constitution or educating people on the dangers of a Con Con and open borders, Tammy not only agrees with our values but she articulates and fights for them in a way that has always made a good name for Phyllis Schlafly Eagles in Iowa."
"We are excited to welcome Tammy," said Rebekah Gantner, Executive Director of the Eagle Forum Education & Legal Defense Fund. "Her influence in Iowa politics and the pro-family movement of the midwest is well-known and she has made it clear that she stands up and fights for our conservative causes. I look forward to our network growing under her development."
Tammy Kobza released the following remarks: "What an honor to work with Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. Phyllis’s entire life has been an example of American exceptionalism that has inspired millions. Her hand-picked successor, Ed Martin, the Eagle’s staff, Board, her sons and the wonderful Eagle leaders and volunteers understand her contribution to our country. We are committed to carrying on her legacy and defending America’s founding principles. Besides raising our children, this has to be one of the most exciting adventures I’ve been blessed with. I’m so thankful for Phyllis’s impact on our country during the 20th century and look forward to working alongside those who want to carry Phyllis’s wisdom and passion for our country on for future generations."
Tammy Kobza's love for American families is clear throughout her resume. From her early training and career as a therapist to her work with Bethany Christian Services and as a volunteer to support family organizations, education issues, and even governmental appointments, it is clear that Tammy works hard for what she believes in. We are proud to bring aboard someone whom Phyllis Schlafly thought so highly of after years of working together.
