Washington, D.C.: Phyllis Schlafly Eagles has issued a statement of endorsement for JD Vance in his race for U.S. Senate in Ohio:
“In a Washington full of life-long elites that live off the public dime, the idea of Senator JD Vance stands out as a breath of fresh American air,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “His upbringing and path to success, chronicled in his best-selling book Hillbilly Elegy, paints the blue-collar portrait that represents so many in our incredible nation. He knows what hard work is and never quitting to get where you want to be. It’s a far cry from the life experience of so many in Congress now and it’s something we desperately need in the Senate.”
“Vance represents the American success story that the political establishment simply can’t stand,” remarked John Schlafly. “He understands the everyday American in a way that political elites never will. He has a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between the people and their government. By every indication he is open-minded and driven by values and a love for this nation — not shameless self-enrichment.
