St. Louis, Missouri: Phyllis Schlafly Eagles announced today that its president, Edward R. Martin, Jr., resigned on January 19 to accept an appointment by President Donald Trump as Interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia.
“We are thrilled for Ed,” said John Schlafly, of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Since succeeding my mother, Phyllis Schlafly, as President in 2015, he has been a dedicated leader of our organization. We have no doubt that he will serve with distinction in his new role.”
Schlafly also announced the addition of Kurt Prenzler, former Chairman of the Madison County Illinois Board, to the organization’s management team as Executive Director of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles.
Prenzler brings extensive experience in both business and government, having served 14 years in elected office in Madison County, Illinois—six years as Treasurer and eight as County Board Chairman. A Certified Public Accountant, Prenzler holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law.
