Vaccine Mandate Deadline Looms Friday at 5:00 p.m.
Washington, D.C.: “New York City workers have until 5:00 p.m. today to get vaccinated or be placed on unpaid leave, and they are making a stand!” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Thursday, thousands of city employees protested in front of failed Mayor DeBlasio’s home, hosted by the FDNY union.
“Despite high vaccination rates among FDNY, NYPD, and all city workers, the city is demanding submission to their mandate to receive the COVID-19 shot. Workers who have shown up and done their jobs throughout the pandemic are infuriated by this ‘extraordinarily shortsighted’ mandate that will cripple the already-strained first responders of America’s biggest city.”
Martin concluded: “We applaud those employees, both public and private, who are putting their livelihoods on the line to say no to tyranny. I pray that the voices of these courageous patriots are heard!”
