Greatest Threat to Women is in Radical Leftwing Agenda
Washington, D.C.: “While the nation celebrated motherhood this weekend, so-called progressives spent their time making moms non-existent,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “There’s a trend among the furthest leftists to replace the words ‘women’ or ‘mother’ with ‘birthing people.’ It sounds so silly that it can’t be real, you might think, but you’d be wrong.
“Rep. Cori Bush (MO-01) and NARAL took to Twitter to explain that it’s not only women who can get pregnant and give birth. The left’s frantic push to be inclusive usually leads to throwing someone in front of a bus who they claim to advocate for. Women? Replaceable. Mothers? Not needed! This confusion of morals and order is created to undo our American culture.”
“Our choice to honor mothers is yet another example of the rich heritage our nation enjoys of endorsing and promoting the traditional nuclear family,” Martin concluded. “Children need moms! Our society needs moms. As we reflect on Mother’s Day, let’s not forget that women are not replaceable. Mothers should be recognized and appreciated, not erased.”
