Catholic Coalition Against Religious Tests for Office releases ad asking Jon Ossoff for answers.
Washington, D.C.: Today, the Catholic Coalition Against Religious Tests for Office released a video advertisement asking Georgia Senate hopeful Jon Ossoff to stand against religious persecution by his party’s leadership.
Ed Martin, leader of the Coalition, said “Jon Ossoff must address the Democrat Party’s Catholic problem. Vice Presdient Biden’s nomination of anti-Catholic California Attorney General Becerra to his cabinet is only the most recent example of anti-Catholic bias.
“But because the media always gives a free ride to Democart Party candidates, citizens who meet Ossoff on the campaign trail must do the media’s job.
“Ossoff is the chosen candidate of the media so Georgians must ask him the questions the media never will: Will he take a stand against Joe Biden’s anti-Catholic agenda and Cabinet nominees and the Schumer-Harris Senate attempt to deny public office to Catholics?”
“1.2 million Catholics and all Georgians who believe in religious freedom must know if Ossoff defends Dem senate leadership’s hostility to Catholics in public office, persecution of Little Sisters of the Poor, and tax-payer funded abortion on demand,” Martin said.
Citing Senate hearing,s in recent years the of the Catholic Coalition leader said “The hostile questioning of Catholic nominees by Senate Democrats including Schumer and Harris brought protests by leaders of the Anti-Defamation League, the Presidents of Notre Dame and Princeton Universities, and the Harvard Law Review — all of whom warned against violating the Constitution’s ban on religious tests for office.”
“How much does Ossoff want to be part of the Schumer Senate?,” Martin asked.
In making reference to court suits brought by 14 Democrat attorneys general against the Little Sisters of the Poor, Martin also asked about Ossoff, “Does he support the Biden nomination of California Attorney General Xavier Becerra who led the persecution of the Little Sisters of the Poor?”

In addition to reaffirming Article VI of the Constitution and rejecting religious tests against Catholics, Democrats should address:
- Persecution of Little Sisters of the Poor by 14 Democrat State Attorneys General.
- Abortion-on-demand — paid for by taxpayers — now fully embraced by Democratic Party.
- Purge of pro-lifers from Party offices.
- No disavowal of Virginia Governor Northam’s statement that Doctor can kill infant survivor of abortion after talk with mother. Is Party now afraid to speak out against infanticide?
- Millions of American Catholics concerned by expressions of bigotry toward Catholics in groups participating in and associated with the Democrat Party.
