Preposterous: Judge Calls Tamara Lich Detention “Necessary” For Public Safety
Washington, D.C.: “Tamara Lich, an organizer of Canada’s Freedom Convoy, has been arrested and is now being imprisoned without bail — all for the not-so-high crime of ‘mischief,'” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “This type of political incarceration will unsettle anyone familiar with the victims of the January 6th inquisition who have been held without due process now for more than a year in abysmal conditions.
“Lich’s bail was denied this morning all on account of the charge of ‘mischief,’ which without damage to life or property would typically result in a few months in jail. Organizing a display of civil disobedience hardly seems balanced with the Ottawa judge’s reaction.
“Then again perhaps it’s to be expected as Canadian officials follow in the footsteps of Prime Tyrant Trudeau’s emergency power crackdown. Vigilant Americans should take notice! Our northern neighbors are experiencing the brutal result of surrendering their rights to the monster of centralized national government. As we stand with our Canadian brothers and sisters demanding liberty, may we be moved to defend our own and ensure the likes of Trudeau’s tyranny is never allowed to take hold of the United States. We are dangerously close.”
