President, Vice President Should Demand No Violence, Riots Over George Floyd Trial.
Washington, D.C.: “President Biden and Vice President Harris have a duty to speak out to their supporters,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “They must demand of Black Lives Matter protestors that no violence or rioting take place around Derek Chauvin’s trial for the death of George Floyd. No matter the outcome of this case, the intense and emotional situation must not be met with professional agitation and public unrest. If Biden and Harris refuse to call for peaceful behavior, they are far more worthy of impeachment than president Trump, who openly and repeatedly condemned violence of any kind by his supporters.”
