The following is a transcript from the Pro America Report.
Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. It’s Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report. Good to be together and so much to cover. In a few moments, we will have a visit with Michael Volpe, our old friend who has done so much investigative reporting and investigative research into what goes on in our family courts and in various court systems. He’s got a story he wants to relay. Always him. I always learn something from him. I can’t say I always enjoy it because it’s challenging, a lot of the stuff, is tough, terrible stuff. Children and divorce and problems, but we’ll hear from Michael Volpe and talk about his sub stack.
Also, we’ll catch up with Garrett Ziegler. Garrett Ziegler, of course, is the founder of Marco Polo. Marco Polo is research, a nonprofit research entity that started about two years ago. Now, if you go to marcopolousa.orgmarcopolousa.org. You can see all the different things they do, but one of the reasons I wanted to talk with Garrett was for months and months and months Marco Polo, this nonprofit research group, has been publishing or exposing the Biden laptop and all its details, and they’ve been going into, in fact, they haven’t been going into analysis at all, they’ve just been laying it out there, so they put up the emails and texts, hundreds of thousands of pages of texts and emails and they’ve also gone ahead and put up all the photos and all and in the last 48 hours, as the Hunter Biden plea agreement fell apart, here’s the characteristic that I want you to think about. A nonprofit, Marco Polousa.org is calling for transparency, saying hey, show us what this all is show us what this means. The other side of this equation is what? Hiding secret deals?
It looks like the Department of Justice was about to do a secret deal with Hunter Biden, which now fell apart and the plea deal would have been in some way it would have been pleading guilty to a couple of things but leaving the rest of it to be innocent of and to be immune from. But ongoing investigations, so that the answer to the press would be oh sorry, we cannot talk about that is an ongoing investigation, which is a standard ploy. For example, on the hunter. Excuse me on the pipe bomb. The pipe bomb of January 5th and 6th US FBI for an update. They will not give you their update, will be sorry for the ongoing investigation and it feels at this point in our history like ongoing investigation is a way to say we are keeping it secret. So, we will talk about that with Garrett Ziegler, the founder of Marco Polo, MarcoPolousa.org all right.
But before we get to that, what you need to know. I woke up at the crack of dawn on Thursday morning and by the time I had been awake for 1/2 an hour, I was deeply, deeply disturbed and concerned. Now, what had I seen? I was only reading my emails. I wasn’t even on the Internet. I was reading my emails and in the middle of the night I got an e-mail update from Politico. I’ve told you, if you want to know what the left thinks you read Politico. If you want to know what the what I would call the intellectual left is thinking that’s Politico. They’re not dumb. They’re smart, sophisticated but they’re in the tank for the left. Some of the reporters are a little bit more honest, but in general that’s where they are, where they send an e-mail, the e-mail goes out at probably 8:00 o’clock in the morning in Brussels, in Europe at the EU. But it goes out to me, gets in my e-mail box always at two or three in the morning. I can’t remember exactly when and so when I get up, it’s one of the first emails I see.
This e-mail included a description that I had not seen of the Europeans being really excited. They were really excited. The European Union folks were really happy. They woke up really happy. They were excited because, well, because Joe Biden had directed the United States to turn over evidence to the International Criminal Court, the International Criminal Court is a extra Sovereign, extra Constitutional Court that is meant to be prosecuting based on international norms and the American Policy has been to not join because we know international organizations end up being run by non-Americans and end up doing things against our interest and so it’s been consistent. In fact, the Pentagon recommended against working with the International Criminal. Court on this very question and Joe Biden overruled them. So they’re celebrating in Europe. They’re celebrating in Europe now. The specifics of this one is that Biden ordered all ordered the government, Joe Biden, President Biden ordered his government to share evidence of Russian conduct in the war with the International Criminal Court.
But that’s not what matters. What matters is for me to tell you and what you need to know is we’re watching the transformation of this country, this nation, by this government on fundamental things. I mean, the International Criminal Court, if there becomes a Criminal Court that can try to enforce judgments against America, you will be tried. The court will be trying every American general, every American Admiral, every American senator. Why wouldn’t they? Because when we act in our interest, it’s going to be against the interest of others, and this is a terrible idea. So, the notion that Europe is celebrating over Biden’s conduct and Americans aren’t even noticing. I haven’t seen coverage of this. What you need to know is this is the biggest capitulation to the international community because Americans. In our very core. Are men and women who believe that there should be rules tend to be people of the book?
So, you believe that there’s an almighty power, and therefore there are almighty truths, but we are the people, we are people of the book, but people of the law. Our system, even though it’s being frayed by, you know, fake news and terrible leadership, our system relies on things like patents and contract law and stability and due process. This is the problem with the rampant lawfare, where one group of people is facing a sweetheart deal, or not even a sweetheart deal, a secret hidden Hunter Biden deal, and meanwhile 3 miles away in downtown Washington, DC, a 19-year-old kid, young man, was sentenced to a year in prison for being at January 6th. He was charged with two felonies because they were trying to make an example of him because they said it was such a bad set of events.
So, you are watching this fraying? That’s true, but fundamentally. Americans say, well, you know what? Let’s work by, let’s play by the rules. Let’s have a set of rules. Get the system going and if it becomes “normal” for the American government to make itself subservience or under the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court, which can then can the International Criminal Court subpoena people? The international community wants abortion on demand. They want a human right to include abortion. Could you have the International Criminal Court charge an American elected official? An American Cabinet Secretary? For crimes against the International Criminal Code because they want abortion on demand. They think it’s a fundamental right and we don’t. And that’s just one example.
If you don’t think that this is a major shift, you’re not paying attention. And for decades and decades, people like the late Phyllis Schlafly and others argued (clearly and won) that we did not want to be tied up to the International Criminal Court. We did not want to weaken our sovereignties and make ourselves subservient and at risk to the Criminal Court, the International Criminal Court.
You know, there was a debate and there was an ongoing conversation for, I don’t know, a few years, maybe longer than that actually where some people were saying we should quote in our legal decisions, the Supreme Court and others should rely on international judgments. You know what is the Malta Supreme Court say? What does the appeals court in Germany say? We can cite them. Guys like Scalia, the late Justice Scalia and others said, look, if you want to talk about them, fine, but don’t cite them as reference for case law. Don’t try to pull into our system. Other legal systems and other legal cases, because they’re coming out of a different set of factors, they’re not coming out of the Constitution, not coming out of our rule of law.
So, this should be a major, major, a headline that Joe Biden is giving away yet again our sovereignty. He’s got the border wide open where the rule of law is being flaunted, being flouted is a better word, flouted. He decided to forgive student loans just at the stroke of a pen and that was struck down because it was lawless. But now he’s signing us up to make our nation our people subject to the International Criminal Court, this is a terrible idea and it’s not just the notion. That oh, we disagree on some aspects of this. No, it’s the idea of conditioning us to accept this as a way to operate. We should resist it. We should have resisted it, the Pentagon told him. The Pentagon recommended that Biden not do this.
Here’s the thing. I think some people will say, oh, well, he’s turning over to the International Criminal Court to Russia, Russia, Russia, stuff. So, we can really get on Russia cause they’re bad guys. Well, and we have a debate about that. But that’s not what I think. I think the people in this administration want to take this country away from sovereign America any way they can, they actually subscribe to the values, the internationalist values that they see in the International Criminal Court. It’s a disaster, and that’s what you need to know. We got to take a break. We’ll be right back. It’s Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report. We’ll be back in a moment.
