The following is a transcript from the Pro America Report.
Welcome, welcome, welcome. Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report, and we’ve got some interesting topics to discuss.
In a few moments, we will catch up with Cheryl Chumley. I really like Cheryl Chumley. I have talked about her before. She is the editorial page at, the online Op editor, I think that’s right, for the Washington Times, which is a good enough thing. That’s a job there. That’s important. But what’s really great is she writes a lot and she’s got a column that ran in the last day or so basically describing Republicans and Democrats agree that there’s doomsday. And basically she’s describing what I’ve been saying, which is a third of the country is brainwashed to believe it’s a disaster from the left, a third from the right, and the rest in the middle are being brainwashed, probably on a mixed bag. But we’ll talk with her, Cheryl Chumley, and also we will visit with Rik Mehta.
We had Rik Mehta on the show before. He’s a pharmacist by training, but became a lawyer, worked in the FDA and ran for office. And I tell people, if you run for office, you know politics, it changes the way you look at things. So we’ll talk with him about Obamacare and some of how the Obamacare law has grown and grown and grown. You think 87,000 new IRS agents is bad, and it is. It’s a worry. There’s a lot of bureaucrats. Obamacare has grown and grown and grown in aspects people can barely realize. So we’ll talk with him.
All right, but first you have to watch closely, and I’m here to do it for you, to see what’s going on in the world.
All over the world, there is a growing movement. Call it populist, call it nation first, as in Italy first or Sweden first.
Call it a reaction against the progressive movement, whatever you want to call it.
It has the markings in all these different places of a surging interest in the voters and the citizens of these nations in putting their own people, their own citizens first, and being therefore against some of the policies that seem to be for the rest of the world first.
For example, there is a move to be against immigration, especially large scale immigration. That’s happening in Italy, it’s happening in France, it’s happening even in Germany, certainly happening in Poland and Hungary, where very popular governments win, but it’s even happening in Sweden.
So there’s this growing sense in the world of voters on the center right who are wanting a kind of nationalist populist, whatever you want to call it. And this is deeply threatening to lots of people on the left who want the opposite or want something different.
Now, you can say, well, is it a new world order? It sure looks like it. But is it, in Sweden is the current liberal government, I think they’re called the Swedish Democrats. Is that what they’re called, they’re Social Democrats. Social Democrats or the left wingers, the Swedish Democrats are conservative. Funny names in these countries where there’s multiple parties, there’s third, four, fifth parties.
But what you need to know is, as the world is seeing things in the west, let me say that differently.
What you need to know is there is a growing movement amongst citizens for more control over their sovereignty.
You saw this with Brexit five or six years ago. You did see it with Trump. You also saw it, by the way, with somebody like Boris Johnson. Some of the popularity. I don’t think he turned out to be particularly conservative. But the movement across the world is for more citizens focused on their nation first. Okay, so there you have it.
Well, in the next couple of weeks, there’ll be elections, and I think in Sweden they’ve got an election that just happened, and it looks like the center right coalition won and the right wing, the sort of populist wing, has surged forward. So you got Poland very much Poland first, very much populist, very much for sovereignty of Poland. Same thing in Hungary. Both those governments have won, and they’ve won multiple times. Now you have Sweden, where a center right and right wing has won and will govern. They’ll appoint the prime minister, a coalition.
And so you have Europe aghast, the European Union, the bureaucrats, the parliament, everyone. Oh, my gosh, what can happen? Now, in ten days, less than that, about a week, a week and two or three days.
Anyway, the 24th of September, there will be another election, this time in Italy. And here’s what I want to talk, here’s what you need to know. Out of Italy now, the news is breaking in the last day, day and a half that there is a US intelligence dossier. Okay?
So the United States intelligence community, including the State Department, has confirmed a dossier that has been sent from the United States Department of State, Secretary of State Blinken, out to the embassies, and it’s a warning. So it’s a US intelligence dossier.
Remember, there was a dossier, the Steele dossier, which the FBI used as a way to do something. This dossier, published by the Biden administration, is saying, beware of money, hundreds of millions of dollars that may have been spent, we can’t prove it, we don’t know, in covert, international influence in Italy.
And the idea is what?
The idea is the Russians again, we’re back to a Russia, Russia, Russia thing. The Russians have spent money in Italy. Breathlessly, this is this dossier says, and they could have, might have, maybe, sort of could
have, we don’t know, spent hundreds of millions of dollars supporting center right conservative groups.
None of it is proven.
The people who are leading the center-right parties, Salvini is one of them. He said no, not us. Conte, which is a five star movement, which is not actually that conservative, but Conte said, not us. We didn’t take any money. Giorgia Meloni, who heads up the other one of the more conservative parties, said, not us.
So we have the American government, the American intelligence community, publishing a dossier a week before an election and leaking it to the press so that the press is writing about whether center right or right wing groups that are surging in the polls whether they’ve been getting funding from the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax.
Now, I don’t know if they do or don’t get funding. I take them at their word that they denied it. But I don’t know.
But I do know, how is it possible that a week before the Italian people get to vote, the U.S. Government is dropping an intelligence dossier that’s detailing $300 million and blaming Russia, Russia, Russia for maybe funding somebody we don’t know, and the media gets it because the Associated Press has confirmed the existence of this dossier and the existence of the cable when they were asked.
So the State Department sends it, the intelligence community creates it. The State Department sends it, the press is told to ask for it, and now the media covers it. And big tech and big media are going to cover, in Italy the idea that maybe some of the groups are getting money from a foreign entity.
Now, you tell me, if you’re an Italian citizen, how you don’t look up and think, man, these people are getting involved in our elections. These people are getting involved in what we’re deciding. How do you not feel that? What kind of person, what kind of citizen looks up and says, oh, that’s no big deal. There’s the Americans coming with a U.S. Intelligence created dossier and we’re back to this.
What you need to know is, distrust and verify is what you have to believe when it comes to the intelligence community and the leaks that they do in this kind of environment.
Because now we find out that some of the sources for the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax, the Steele dossier, were on the payroll of the FBI. Now we find out that there are other aspects of all this different FBI work that appears to have been managed just to get at Trump.
The Steele dossier was a political hit from the Hillary Clinton campaign, and the FBI knew it, or the Department of Justice knew it.
So you tell me how the rest of the world is supposed to, the citizens are supposed to look up and say, what?
Now, I assume that in the past the CIA and others were involved in foreign elections. I mean, I don’t think I have to be a brain surgeon to believe that’s true. And I believe that at various times you and I would have said, well, we need our intelligence community to be able to help ecause we were worried about world communism.
But is it really the conservatives in Italy that are the threat to us?
Is that the justification and by the way, at this point in the last ten years, the intelligence community has proven that distrust and verify is the only thing. So when the intelligence community gathers 50 or 51 serious intelligence community, seniors, retired, mostly senior leaders get out and say, oh, the Russian disinformation, that’s what the Hunter Biden laptop is. And we know they lied. We know they lied about it. They’re either totally stupid or they lied. And I don’t think they’re totally stupid.
And now we have our government, our dishonorable or dishonored or distrusted. Let’s say that. I don’t want to say dishonoured, distrusted. I think they’re dishonored, but they’re distrusted, intelligence community, interfering in Russian elections and we’re supposed to sit back and say, oh, that works for us, it doesn’t work for us.
The same people that are targeting American citizens as being a clear and present danger because we are not accepting the positions, the policies, the approach of the current regime, the same people that are targeting us because of that are targeting the rest of the world. And if you don’t think it has an impact, you don’t understand how these things work and the size and scope and the impact of the American government.
So that story is breathtaking. It is American interference in foreign elections. Brazenly. Brazenly. And using the same playbook that they used before, that has been proven to be a lie.
That the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax was proven to be a lie in the Trump colluded with Russia hoax and also in the Hunter Biden-It’s Russian disinformation Hoax. And they’re doing the same playbook in Italy.
And big tech and big media will join big government and you will have an impact on the elections and the sovereignty of the people of Italy. If I was the Italians, I’d be up in arms at America as well they should be. That’s what you need to know. We’ll take a break.
We’ll be right back. Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report. Back in a moment.
