Catherine Engelbrecht of truethevote.org will join us, so we’ll get an update from her on her work as well as on an interesting woman from down I think it’s in Texas where she stood up for no, Arizona. Where she stood up, a young a young woman stood up for what she believed in and ended up getting sued by Mark Elias, the Democrat uber lawyer, the guy who’s fighting to fortify the elections and therefore mess up democracy.
We’ll also talk with Melissa Giller, who is at the Reagan Library, the Reagan Library, out in Simi Valley, and they’re having an event that is taking place out there. Excuse me, an exhibit on Auschwitz and it’ll be at the Reagan Library. We get an update on that. The Reagan Library is actually something of a It’s something like a museum now. It’s not just a presidential library. It’s meaning, like the Smithsonian or some of the larger museums in big cities, like in Saint Louis, the the Museum in Forest Park or in New York City, some of the museums that they get major exhibits coming through and like years ago there was a big exhibit on Pompeii, the city South of Rome that was buried under the ash of the volcano. A couple a couple thousand years ago and they had that and that traveled around The country. It was in Saint Louis then was later at the Reagan Library, so we’ll talk with her about this Auschwitz exhibit, which is very powerful, as well as what’s going on there so. But first, what you need to know.
Today let’s let’s take a little bit of a lesson here. Let’s take a lesson. We’ve got a Chinese weather balloon, If you believe the Chinese, a spy balloon, if you believe your common sense, whatever it is, it’s a massive balloon going across America right across the heartland, right across our nuclear launch sites and all that. I don’t know. I mean, I, I kind of feel like there’s lots of satellites. Higher up that are gonna be There, but it does show How silly our administration is that we can’t get our answer straight. The President, President Biden and his team kind of hemmed and hawed and didn’t know what it was, denied it was anything, said it was something, didn’t know, the Chinese said, well it’s not a big deal, it’s just a weather balloon. We can’t control it, et cetera. It just it just seems makes us seem silly. But here’s the bigger question.
The bigger question is whether anyone is serious about the threat of the Chinese Communist regime, not the Chinese people, not the Chinese history, the communist regime, and, you know, I point back to the Monroe Doctrine, which was, John Quincy Adams, By the way, played a role in, that he was Secretary of State, later became President, and James Monroe had the Monroe Doctrine which he read. It was actually he didn’t read it out loud. It was sent as a report to the Congress 200 years ago this year. In December of 1823.
But here’s the important part of it. It was not only a complaint about hey don’t colonize into our hemisphere. It was that, I don’t want to be silly. I mean, he was saying don’t colonize, but the key part of the expression, the key part of the Monroe Doctrine was the was the expression that we didn’t. Here’s the actual language: We owe it therefore, to candor and to the amicable relations existing between the U.S. and those powers.
So he’s now saying to you, to the people he’s addressing, he’s saying we owe to you to tell you and. They said to declare. There that we, the Americans should consider any attempt on their part to extend their system to any portion of this hemisphere as hemisphere as dangerous to our peace and safety. It’s not, the problem is not people coming from other countries or cultures. We’re confident enough in that you know we we can. We can have a a European person you know immigrate to America. By the way, the question is the number of them. That’s a different question.
But the bigger thing is the system and what the Chinese regime the communist regime has done is systematically, They have gone about influencing our lives. They run TikTok. To the detriment of society. As Donald Trump released a video on this question and and he he said there are thousands and thousands of of Chinese Communist regime spies. Now there are probably spies for the Russians, for the French, for other people, they’re probably spies of every nationality. I doubt that there any nationalities that don’t have Somebody that’s intelligence gathering, but there’s no one with the communist system asserting itself worldwide other than the Chinese. It doesn’t count if you’re some second. Tier 3rd Tier 5th tier Nation who is a communist or Marxist country. We don’t care. I mean we care, but we don’t want, we’re not going to be worried about it.
We have got to get serious and if you listen to Trump, Trump said when when Biden came in anything Trump did Biden reversed. Trump had started in the Justice Department, a unit to focus on the Chinese infiltration of America. Everything you’ve ever seen about the Soviets about their spies about their spycraft. About the infiltration of any anything. You have to believe That the Chinese are doing that a hundredfold. Because they’ve been more successful.
The communist regime in China at sustaining their nation. They’re not broke. They’re more disciplined. I mean the the Soviet, the Soviet communist regime started to unravel within about a decade. It took another three decades after World War 2 for it To really unravel, and nobody really saw it coming. But but the Chinese regime? It’s not unraveling. I mean, it’s not unraveling the same way and they have had. Party discipline. And so we know.
We know that there is the economic effort, the so-called Belt and Road Initiative. I think I’m getting that right. I always mess that up. I always want to say belt and suspenders initiative, but the Belt and Road or the whatever it is, the the. It’s an echo of the Silk Road where the paying to build out roads and infrastructure all over the world, including in Latin America, including in South America. Especially in Africa, where they can get a foothold in the communities there in the nations there by being the bank by being the funder. And when you’re the bank or the funder, you’ve got a great relationship. Great power relationship.
And they’ve done it through the infiltration of higher education in America. They’ve done it by infiltration into economic, into tech big tech. They’ve done it in in our high finance and you know banks and others and you have to say they’ve done it in our governments. And our government, local, and state and local. Why wouldn’t they? I mean, again, we we. We’re we’re undertaking every form of of espionage against our enemies too. America is I I have to think. I mean, I don’t know for sure, but I have to think, and therefore we shouldn’t Be surprised when other people are. I mean after all. Even when you’re not at war, you’re going to be rivals with these countries, and you’re going to be undertaking all this. So here’s my point, and what Trump was saying in his video. Are we gonna get serious?
Are we gonna get serious? And and here’s here’s why the continuing validity of the Monroe Doctrine is so important because it gives us a framework. To explain what we’re saying. If you believe in a system, Communist Chinese regime that does not have the rule of law that does not have honor, and it it is simply power dynamics, that’s what the Communist Chinese regime is. If you’re tied to power your your situation will be honored. It doesn’t matter if you have a contract written. If you have a patent, anything else that will be overridden by what the Communist regime wants, that system is incompatible, not to mention. That the system the communist Chinese system says we should Get rid of Other places like America, should get rid of, you know, destroy them. I mean, that’s that’s another little slight detail. I mean, you know it’s kind of like, Oh well, that’s that’s kind. Of an interesting detail You’ve got there, and so my point here again, is that if we’re going to, if we’re going to come up with a pathway forward.
Where we say, hey, we’re going to ban TikTok, we should, we’re going to get the track down the the spies, the Chinese spies, we must. We’re going to get serious about espionage. We have to. We’re gonna be. I mean, there’s another one, hundreds of thousands. I think it’s like 300,000 Chinese nationals are in our schools, our universities the the wealthy in China send their kids to America. They learn English well, that’s one thing, but then they learn at the best schools and they train at MIT and they train at Cal and they train at, you know all the big places and then they go back to China. Because the Chinese regime. Only very rarely creates a person who departs from the regime. It’s very rare. I don’t know what the number would be. I’d say one in 100 says, hey, I like this freedom thing. I’m going to sneak away and not go back to China. Most Of them go back to China. Most of the Chinese nationals go back to China, and if you talk to someone who’s in law enforcement, they’ll tell you that they’re very brutal. They’re brutal. They’re brutally frank about it. Their their job is to be to be loyal to the regime at home. That’s that’s who they are. It doesn’t matter if you’re a student, it doesn’t matter if you’re a trained spy, doesn’t matter if you’re a businessman.
That’s the mindset when we, again it’s a communist system. We have to wrap our brain around it in a a way that’s different than we have so far. Alright, that’s all I’ve got on that. Just watch that video of Donald Trump. It’ll make you smile too. He’s in a good he’s in he’s in high energy and pretty good.
Alright, we’ll take a break. We come back, Catherine Engelbrecht. And then we’ll also visit with the Reagan Library, one of their top executives, Melissa Gillen. We’ll be right back, Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report. Back in a moment.
