If you think that the United Nations actually respects American sovereignty, you need to think again. The international peacekeeping body founded by notorious American communists like Alger Hiss has done nothing to promote actual peace on the world stage. In fact, the U.N. may have done more to promulgate war than just about anything other than sin itself.
In many cases, the treaties that the U.N. proposes openly call for the limitation of American sovereignty, such as the so-called Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women, which would submit the United States to a committee which openly calls for the legalization of prostitution and the widespread acceptance of abortion. Another doozy is the UN Law of the Sea Treaty, which would create a global bureaucracy to levy global taxes and rule all international waters, which account for seventy percent of the Earth’s surface. It is no wonder the acronym for the Law of the Sea Treaty spells out the word “LOST.”
Yet, in so many other cases, the anti-American dealings of the United Nations are far more difficult to detect. Take the example of the United Nations’ International Organization for Migration. While it may sound like a noble humanitarian body, in practice it is an accessory to global human trafficking. In an exclusive interview with the Daily Caller News Foundation, six migrants from Afghanistan described how UN agencies instructed them on how to cross America’s southern border illegally. They even provided a map to show the migrants the best route.
Like it or not, these agents of the United Nations are helping people to violate federal law. In any other context, we would call them accessories to human trafficking. Yet because they operate under the auspices of the United Nations, we are expected to give them a free pass. American citizens should not have to put up with this anymore. It is time for conservatives to take bold action to secure our sovereignty, including divesting ourselves from the United Nations. They actively work against our national interests. We don’t owe those globalists even one single American penny.
