St. Lous, MO: Phyllis Schlafly Eagles is pleased to announce that the Honorable Ken Paxton, Attorney General of Texas, will receive the 2023 Phyllis Schlafly Award for Excellence in Leadership for his courageous defense of truth, principle, and the people of Texas. Not only has he repeatedly taken to task the weaponized Big Government of the Biden Administration, but he has stood up to the leftwing Austin establishment in Texas.
“Attorney General Paxton stood up and fought when most politicians have cut and run — this is true leadership,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Time and again, he has taken on the tough battles like illegal immigration and election integrity. He has been a bulwark of constitutional legal action, spurring on many other state attorneys general to join the fight against creeping federal power.”
“Ken Paxton has championed many important issues during his tenure as Attorney General,” John Schlafly said. “I am honored to present this award on behalf of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles, and I hope many other conservative leaders will follow General Paxton’s example in battling leftist attacks on our families, our culture, and our sovereignty.”
This annual presentation of the Phyllis Schlafly Award for Excellence in Leadership takes place at the signature event Phyllis Schlafly’s Eagle Council. This Saturday evening at a Constitution Day celebration, Ken Paxton will be honored. The Attorney General has agreed to attend the dinner and accept if possible.
