Washington, D.C.: The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments tomorrow in Department of Homeland Security v. Regents of the University of California, which will essentially decide the validity of the Trump Administration’s ability to undo the Obama-era amnesty program known as DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals).
“This decision will have incredible impact on the future of our nation,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “We look forward to a win from SCOTUS, and they ought to rule unanimously in favor of the Administration. President Trump acted fully inside the law (unlike his predecessor) in disbanding this awful illegal amnesty program. Congress alone has the power to legislate a matter like this. DACA is clearly in violation of the constitutional separation of powers. The Trump Administration is absolutely, constitutionally within their lane to end this unlawful act.”
