Washington, D.C.: “As the ship of American pollsters has gone down in flames, one truth stands out,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “The polling numbers may be unreliable but trends still mean something.
“The trend for Joe Biden right now is pretty gloomy. Rasmussen released a new poll this week that shows Biden voters are having major second thoughts. Nearly 1-in-10 who voted for Biden in 2020 now regret their vote, a stunning uptick from numbers just weeks ago. Biden’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal will go down as one of the worst moments for American presidential leadership — and his own voters know it.”
Martin concluded, “More than 10% of young voters feel this regret as well as nearly 15% of black voters — a number that would have any Democrat strategist more than a little concerned. Most bleak, perhaps, is the trend that since March Americans who feel we are headed in the ‘right direction’ have plummeted from 55% to a dismal 31%.
“The Biden administration is a sinking ship — fraught with infighting, bad decisions, dangerous policies, and an electorate now that is seeing it all.”
