Washington, D.C.: President Donald Trump will host Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in Washington this month. Forging relationships between America and European nations that are seeking a return to national sovereignty is most important. Just this year, Phyllis Schlafly Eagles hosted Hungarian Ambassador to the U.S. Dr. László Szábo spoke at our annual leadership meeting.
“Hungary has, in recent years, made a concerted effort to uphold and encourage faith, traditional marriage, family structure, and child bearing in their society,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “It’s really exciting to see some of the progress they have made in structuring taxes and government around a deep respect for Christianity and the nuclear family unit. We are excited at the prospect of a great working relationship between our nations.
“Many European nations are yearning for national sovereignty, and we are thrilled to see the Trump Administration reach out to them. These European nations serve as the birthplace of Western Civilization that we in America enjoy. We must join together with them and Make America AND Europe Great Again!”
