Biden Administration Refuses To Use American Oil
Washington, D.C.: “As the average price of gas tops $4.00 a gallon, the Biden Administration will do nothing to stop it from climbing,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Americans are already scrambling to adjust their budgets so they can afford the drive to work, but it’s only getting worse. The Biden Administration is looking absolutely everywhere but the most obvious and cost-effective solution to this problem. It’s no wonder Biden’s Approval Index percentages are hovering in the abysmal -20s.
“When President Trump unleashed our energy sector, it sent prices tumbling here at home and created stability throughout the world. Joe Biden has done everything he can to slash that progress, vowing instead to combat the manufactured ‘climate crisis.'”
Martin continued: “Instead of ramping up American oil and natural gas production to combat our dependence on Russian oil, the Biden Administration is contemplating the purchase of oil from even worse enemies of liberty. Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, and even Iran are on Biden’s short list as he looks to cut into Russia’s oil sales. It’s absolutely insane.
“Democrats may be ending the planned Covid pandemic to save their electoral hopes in the midterms, but they’re trading in the hyped-up health crisis for a very real energy crisis that will cut into every single American household. Particularly the working and middle classes will suffer, who simply can’t afford to double or triple or even quadruple their gas budget.”
Martin concluded: “Only ultra-rich leftists who preach climate change environmentalism from their private jets won’t suffer, except in being forced to take fewer vacations. The majority of Americans will be forced to choose between putting food on the table or gas in the tank. Stop fomenting an oil and gas crisis, President Biden! Return our energy sector to full capacity and bring back the strength of America and stability in the world.”
