Washington, D.C.: As the United States and the world grapple with a response to the virulent COVID-19, we must not forget an important fact: China is at the center of this worldwide crisis.
“This global pandemic is a result of the Communist Chinese Party’s (CCP) lies and coverup,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Both Chinese Leaders and their globalist enablers, particularly in the United Nations, must be brought to reckoning. Since COVID-19’s appearance last year in China, the ruling Communist Party has engaged in a total cover up. It’s time for U.S. leaders to get serious and examine our links with this communist foe.
“Far too much of our U.S. economy is reliant on China – particularly in the medical industry. It’s time to decouple from China. Trump’s consideration of action against the WHO is totally warranted and long overdue. As our long-term virus response continues, we encourage President Trump to examine and cut ties with the globalists and communists — put Americans first.”
A newly released Harris Poll shows that more than three-quarters of Americans blame China for the virus, including 67% of Democrats. Also, 71% said U.S. companies should pull back from manufacturing goods in China. Additionally, 69% are in favor of President Trump’s tough trade stance on China and 54% say China should pay reparations to countries for the spread of this virus.
