The following is a transcript from the Pro America Report.
Welcome. Welcome, welcome! It’s Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report, another very important show today. In a few moments, we will talk with a new friend.
Jon Feere, who is the director of investigations over at the Center for Immigration Studies, CIS.org. Super guy. He has a history, past history in the past. He has had a career that includes service in the Trump administration and the Department of Homeland Security, ICE.
And then we’ll also talk with Jordan Boyd about the Sussman trial. Jordan Boyd writes over at thefederalist.com. The Sussmann trial revealed a detail that people did not quite get. We’ll have Jordan highlight it, then I’ll give you a tip. I’ll give you a hint. It turns out that Sussmann, this big lawyer paid for by Hillary and the Democrats, was rewriting the press releases for the FBI.
Go figure, that close a relationship.
But before we get to any of that, let me say visit ProAmericaReport.com, sign up for the daily email. There, the daily WYNK. Because what you need to know, the daily WYNK is what we’re going to do right now. And you need that in your inbox. And so here we are.
Let me tell you, the story that is the story that should be on everybody’s mind and paying attention to is the rapid deterioration of our American border.
But first, let’s set this up. What you have I mean, all over the place right now. We actually have stories about Joe Biden being frustrated with his polling numbers. He can’t believe that people don’t think he’s great and that his numbers are less than Trump. He can’t understand this.
Well, one of the factors in there is that there are lots of lower income Americans, some African American, some Hispanic American who are absolutely, positively against this wild open border. Now, what you need to know is what we’re doing in this country.
We’re living with a border that’s controlled by the drug cartels.
The drug cartels who control Mexico are the ones who are letting fentanyl in. They’re letting people in. They’re letting control the border is left because what we’ve said is we won’t stop them. So Breitbart.com has a story that ran I think it ran early Monday. Bob Price, a reporter there, wrote about the fact that Mexico has a 10,000 person migrant caravan headed for the border.
Remember, the Mexican government is corrupt. It is dominated, It is led by, it is run by, it is controlled by the cartels. So the Mexican government is allowing 10,000 more people aimed right at the border to get ready to come up through to one of these caravans. And you see this over and over. The coverage, the specific coverage of the number of people.
One of the reports has more than a million people, 1.3 million, I think was the report, illegals have come through the border since Joe Biden got to be president.
The point here is that we have ceded control of the border to someone not elected by us.
Not influenced by us, I guess not formally influenced, not paid as policymakers by us, not one of our citizens, but to the drug cartels that control the border and control the southern border in such a way that we do not have any idea, none of what the policy will be day to day, except we know that it will be open borders, that the border will be open. And the reason why this is so insane, if you think about it, is because we actually don’t know. We’re not having Joe Biden, Joe Biden’s decision to let the border be open and let all these people come in effectively means that the cartels will decide who comes in. So when the cartels call an audible and they announce that, oh yeah, well, why not? We’re going to have this wide open. Why not send some caravans, have the caravans come? Why not have the caravans? And that’s what’s happened.
So we have yet another caravan. 10,000 doesn’t even sound like that much. Coming up to the border through the border along with sex trafficking, along with all these. You don’t need to go to Tucker Carlson and have him tell you about the replacement theory. You don’t need to do that. You can.
But the media is trying to make it a distraction.
All you have to really do is look at the policies of the Democrat Party, starting in the 1960s, and effectively how we have built our way to a lawless state where it doesn’t matter what the law is, it doesn’t matter what our sovereignty is.
All that matters is what the cartels want. Think about that.
It’s objectionable on many levels to me that we would have a policy at this moment in our history that would welcome hundreds of thousands or more immigrants, illegal or otherwise.
I think it’s time for a pause, time for our nation to kind of solidify a bit more. But that would be offensive enough. Instead, what we have is a situation where we don’t have a border and we don’t have sovereignty. We just have to ask the cartels what our border is and what our sovereignty is because they’re in charge.
Think about that. That’s about as foreign an approach as we could have for Americans. We do not tolerate the idea of other people. You remember I’ve told you a couple of times, there were moments in the last 25 years, 30 years where we’ve had efforts.
One of them, we were going to harmonize our laws of patents and trademarks and copyright, I think also with Europe and Americans resisted that. We’re not importing.
We had a movement amongst the left for a bit in the academia, mostly in legal circles and law schools that they were going to admit and use foreign law. And we were like, no, if you want to talk about what the foreign laws as a way to describe traditions and all, but citing court cases from other nations, we’re not doing that.
So we have had this movement. I mean, our whole founding in the country was founded on the idea of sovereignty. Wait a second. What are you doing?
One of the more objectionable aspects of the Stamp Act and other things at the founding at the time of the American Revolution was the lack of representation, the idea that someone was making decisions about our sovereignty without us playing a significant role. That’s what’s happening. The drug cartels are in charge and our policies are out to lunch.
Now we’re going to hear in a few moments from an investigator from the center for Immigration Studies, and he’ll talk about how now the facts are out that our universities are at least under-scrutinized in terms of their policies. We’re talking about over a million students every year or a million total that are in this country. Foreign students studying in our universities. I think it’s about 200,000 that are annual migrants, new workers, new temporary students. They come to America, they go to our college campuses, they pay full tuition. They’re an important source of revenue for our universities. And they’re under-examined. We don’t really know who’s coming. We don’t know what’s happening. It doesn’t make sense. And that’s another example where we have ceded authority.
The universities are in charge of who’s coming. It’s staff members of the universities who get to say who’s qualified to come. Now, supposedly ICE is supposed to have this overarching role. We’ll see if they assert it. There’s a case, there’s a criminal case coming. Sorry, it’s a whistleblower case. Not a criminal case, but back to the border.
If the American people, if we adjusted our sort of frame of reference to understand what’s happening, that the cartels are deciding what our border is, if we could get our heads around that, we could say, well, what are we going to do about it? Right? What do we have to do to break up the cartels being the ones in control of our border?
Because they’re the ones that decide that fentanyl comes. They’re the ones that decide that sex trafficking comes. They’re the ones that decide that record numbers come.
And so what can we do to change the dynamic where the cartels are not in charge of our policy?
Now, one thing you could do is what Trump did was he said, I’m going to build the wall. Then they didn’t like that because you build a wall and the cartels didn’t like that because then you could control who comes and goes. That’s one option.
It’s the one I support. It’s crazy that we don’t have that. But if not, if you’re not for that, give us another option. Americans, we demand to know, what are we going to do? Not just about the lawlessness, that’s bad enough, but about the chaos that’s coming. Again, the announcement in the last 36 hours that there’s another caravan coming, 10,000 more people coming up through Mexico. Mexico is allowing this and America needs to stop sitting around and pretending there’s nothing we can do. There is something we could do.
There’s a lot of things we could do including pressure the Mexican government, including build a wall, including strike against the cartels. Including all kinds of pressure.
As we said before, the Chinese fentanyl problem, the makers of fentanyl and the constituent parts are all coming out of China. We know that. We could stop them if we wanted. We have to want to. So the border problem is getting worse, not better. And that leaves aside the ongoing conversation which is so regular on the program we’ve had him on as a guest the last few months about four or five times. Todd Bensman’s book, America’s covert border war and the jihadist infiltration that’s just jihadists. We have terrorists coming in through our border. It’s crazy. It’s crazy.
I believe that this issue is so clear to the American people that the chaos of the cartels it should not be allowed to stand. I believe this issue is going to bring more voters out to participate to stop it than ever before.
All right, we got to take a break. We got a great show. Don’t forget to visit proamericreport.com. I’m Ed Martin and we will be right back here on the Pro America Report.
