Solution Staring Us In the Face to Save American Lives: Shut the Border!
Washington, D.C.: The fentanyl epidemic raging across America brought a stunning and heartbreaking headline from Seattle, Washington, this week. The Seattle-King County Public Health Director revealed that the Medical Examiner’s office has a body count from overdoses that is stacking up faster than the county’s storage can handle.
“This is truly a tragic picture that I’m sure is repeated across the nation,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Fentanyl, the highly dangerous synthetic opioid, is ravaging our communities big and small from coast to coast. King County Washington has already experienced more than a death a day this year, and they are on track to beat last year’s record-setting overdose numbers.
“While there’s no one instant fix for America’s addiction and overdose woes, an undeniably simple and effective step would be to seal off the Southern Border. Shutting down illegal crossings, putting an end to the cartel’s control of our unsecured stretch of border with Mexico — this would absolutely put a nearly instant hitch into the free flow of Chinese fentanyl into America.
“It’s the closest thing to a fast solution we have, but it’s one of the things the Biden Administration is absolutely unwilling to do. It’s a sad commentary on our nation when its leaders are willing to fuel the destructive loss of life among their own citizens to advance their own agenda of power and wealth. The globalist, no-borders agenda is attacking America from the outside and decaying it from within.”
