Convicted Felon Deportations Down 25% Compared to 2020
Washington, D.C.: “The Biden administration continues to publicly ignore the humanitarian crisis at our southern border,” said Phyllis Schlafly Eagles President Ed Martin. “Cartels and criminal enterprises are running the show in our southern states. The Biden White House, not satisfied with just ignoring the problem, has outdone itself by enacting a massive drop-off in deportation of illegal crossers with criminal records.
“The Biden Administration deported more than 70% fewer criminal aliens in 2021 than the last year under President Trump. Convicted felons met a 35% deportation decline from 2020 to 2021. In fact, some 51 local jurisdictions experienced a more than 90% reduction in removal of criminal aliens!”
Martin concluded, “The Biden Department of Homeland Security has all but just stopped the removal of dangerous criminals into our country through the uncontrolled border. It’s no wonder our border states are trying to take security matters into their own hands — there is chaos at the border and Biden’s executive branch is doing nothing. Order must be brought to our border once again, and the feckless Biden Administration is unwilling to do it.”
