Washington, D.C.: Arrests were made late last week in yet another brutal murder associated with the deadly MS-13 gang, which is largely made up of illegal immigrants from El Salvador and surrounding South American countries. Five people, including two teenagers, were charged with first degree murder in the death of a 16-year-old fellow gang member. The teenage victim was stabbed 100 times and his body was burned in a roadside ditch in Virginia.
“Brutally violent murders connected to MS-13 are on the rise,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles, “and they are absolutely linked to gaping holes in our southern border. American citizens are increasingly at risk from the spread of these brutal thugs and the damage they are causing in our communities. This is just part of the border crisis that is spilling over into the rest of our country. Congress and the President MUST act to stop the threats coming from wide-open portions of our southern border. The safety of our citizens depends on it.”
