Five Months Later, VP Harris’s Border Task Force Produces “Plan”
Washington, D.C.: “Discontented Democrats are grumbling at VP Kamala Harris’s tumbling approval rating and it’s no wonder,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Her latest immigration follies would be humorous if she weren’t the Vice President of the United States. It’s further evidence that this administration hasn’t a clue what they’re doing.”
Five months after being appointed Biden’s supposed “Border Czar,” Harris has finally released an 18-page document giving what her office calls the “Root Causes Strategy” to end mass migration from South and Central America.
“After months of supposed work, Harris’s team is suggesting that the answer to all our border problems is to make three key Central American countries better,” Martin continued. “You heard that right — if Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador would clean up their act and become stable, democratic societies, that would solve all our problems.”
“I shudder to think how taxpayer money has been spent to assemble a fancy formatted five-point list of obvious problems. But was a single solution in sight? Of course not. Our Southern border is in a shambles. American citizens and legal immigrants are suffering the consequences of the Biden administration’s ineptitude on our immigration problems.”
