Afghanistan Tragedy Cannot Become Unfettered Immigration
Washington, D.C.: “The situation unfolding in Afghanistan is heartbreaking, and it brings important, immediate lessons for America,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “It is abundantly clear that Joe Biden is a weak and feckless leader. His administration does not believe in American military superiority or national sovereignty.”
Conservatives have long advocated for America to exit our endless wars in the Middle East. However, Biden has proved exactly how not to do it, putting thousands of lives at risk in the process.
“Make no mistake,” continued Martin, “military superiority isn’t simply the measure of weapons, armies, and technologies. Military superiority is being willing to deploy that strength to quickly end any conflict that American troops are called to. Every nation should understand that willingness. The United States was once feared and respected across the globe; nobody fears Joe Biden.
“But an even more pressing question faces America. A huge push is mounting to hurriedly bring tens of thousands of Afghan nationals here — unvetted. That’s right, the globalist neo-cons and leftists are demanding that we take in an untold number of foreign nationals as refugees.”
“The chaos in Afghanistan is devastating to watch,” Martin concluded, “but we must not allow its architects to erode our sovereignty with a flood of unvetted foreign nationals. Our borders are already under siege. Our military superiority has been reduced to just a memory. The Biden administration has made us a laughing stock.
“The last thing Americans can afford is more unrestricted immigration. Stand up, America. This mess is endangering our Republic.”
