It’s going to be a long, cold winter in the United States, but President Biden can’t pin the blame on Jack Frost this time. The real culprit is President Biden’s America last policies, which prioritize the needs of other nations ahead of the needs of our own citizens. If you don’t believe me, just ask Biden spokesman John Kirby, whose encounter with Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich laid bare the Administration’s plan to leave Americans out in the cold.
When asked what the Administration is doing about our dwindling supply of diesel fuel, Kirby gave just about the worst news imaginable. He said that he did not have any answers about America’s diesel shortage, but that they are doing everything they can to “help our European friends and partners who are also going to be facing a long, cold winter.” To put it another way, he doesn’t know how much Americans will suffer, but Biden will keep shipping our fuel to Europe regardless of the cost to our own citizens.
Of course, this would be a non-issue under President Trump, who managed to bring America to become a net exporter of oil for the first time in decades. We could have had enough for our own citizens and to help other nations as well. However, due to Biden’s Green New Deal insanity, we are dangerously dependent on foreign energy producers.
Of course, the left will try to say that during this Christmas season, it would be uncharitable of Americans not to ship our energy overseas. Nothing could be further from the truth. If President Biden ships our resources to Europe, it will not be he and his family who suffer in the cold. Instead, it will be poor Americans who cannot afford a spike in the cost to heat their homes this winter. The idea behind America First is simple. A nation’s first duty is to protect the interests of its citizens. Only a strong nation can help the weak, and America is in no position to send our energy across the Atlantic. Don’t let the Scrooges on the left take the coal out of working class American hearths this Christmas. Put America First!
