The following is a transcript from the Pro America Report with Ed Martin.
Welcome, Welcome, welcome. It’s Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report. Great to be together. Very eventful day. You’re going to want to tune in here and be paying attention.
Of course the US Supreme Court issued a ruling that Donald Trump is immune from The activities you do as President. Had to be that way, had to be that way. Can’t be any other way. What they didn’t, what they probably well, what they implied was well, if you go outside of your official acts, you can be rung up. And that’s what the Biden administration is saying. And Jack Smith will likely say, seems to, it seems a stretch to me. So we’ll see. Alright.
Welcome, welcome. It’s Ed Martin here in the Pro America Report. So much happening since I’ve been behind the mic.
The January 6th, 1512 decision is wonderful. It is haunting how many people were prosecuted and persecuted because of what was an abuse of the law. It’s really haunting. I’m going to do an interview later this week with Tim Hale. Uh, basically, he spent three plus years in jail. Uh, a couple of those years in either solitary or really tough, terrible conditions. And it was wrong. He, the only thing that they charged him with. The only felony was this 1512. So it was all wrong. And he’s got a great attitude. I would be much more bitter and much angrier. But he is an amazing guy. We’ll talk. I’m gonna talk with him in a special interview on Rumble in the DC studio. I think later this week I haven’t set the date for sure.
So 1512 was great. Your Supreme Court did a great job on that one. I think it’s very valuable.
And just earlier on Monday, the Supreme Court said, as I mentioned, immunity for a president, for official acts. You cannot try Barack Obama for droning people. In in in well while he was in office. Obviously you could charge Barack Obama for murder if he stabbed his roommate or whoever lives, you know, next door to his office mate. I’m just teasing about that. When he’s in the Oval Office, you know, crimes that are outside of the job. You, you can’t have immunity, but you have to have immunity for the jobs, for the the tasks inside the Job because you’ve Got to have some way to function. And so not surprising and and a good thing. Alright but and I think the oh, well
Since the last time we talked, we also had the wild debate and I forgot about that the debate between President Trump and President Biden and what a disaster for Biden. He spent the weekend regroup, recouping and regrouping. They went to Camp David and the family came out and said no, no, no, we’re not quitting. We’re going to fight till the end. We’re gonna keep going, which I think most of the Republicans said. Ohh, good, giddy up, why not let him go? Let’s see how it turns out.
Here’s the thing I want to bring you to a different place. I want you to, I want to bring you to a place where you understand That the big deal has to stay the big deal.
You got all these kinds of distractions and even polling that seems to show that Trump has a chance to win, I don’t know, Virginia. That may be true. Win New Jersey, No way that’s true. Win New York. Not true. It’s a little bit like when the Democrats run around and say that they have a chance to win. Alabama, not true. It’s just not true. Now there’s more populist, more people that are energetic in places like New Jersey, New York. But here’s what I wanna say.
When you run a campaign, you have to run the campaign based on the rules of the campaign. In other words, when someone sets up the election rules, you have to work on for, for the Democrats that wish that you could decide the President of the United States by popular vote. That’s not one of the choices. We don’t do popular vote when it comes to American elections for president, we do the Electoral College, which was providentially created by the founders in a special subcommittee, that Special subcommittee because they couldn’t figure out what to do about the the the the How to elect the president. And so there was a guy named David Brearley. David Brearley, who headed up a the Brearley committee. I think it was actually not called. What was it called? It was a better. It was a more a. It was a lengthier term than that they they it became known as the Brearley committee. But I think it was the the Committee for unfinished items or something like that. At the Constitutional Convention, he went off, really, and his committee, and they created the the Vice Presidency and the Electoral College, and it was providential. So you the the rules of an election, how you run the race are the rules.
And here’s my how you have to adjust. Hillary Clinton did not pay attention to running the race she thought she was so popular and so incredible. She had a she had spent $1,000,000 on confetti that was shaped like shards of glass because she was breaking the glass ceiling. Etcetera, etcetera. Her arrogance and also stupidity.
Well, here’s what I want to tell you. There’s really only five places, maybe six, that matter in this election, even after Joe Biden’s abysmal performance, you should not stray from the places that matter. Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, Arizona. Those and and Omaha Nebraska has a situation where the area around Omaha, the Congressional District goes to the winner of that Congressional District not, it’s not a winner take all. Right.
So for those of you that are out there that support President Trump that are saying, wow, what a deal. Biden’s debate was awful. The 1512 clearly showed that the Biden Department of Justice was using the law in a way that it wasn’t intended. And it was nasty, mean and nasty. Terrible, a betrayal of America, truly.
When you’re saying, oh, well, immunity, the the Supreme Court ruled on immunity that was serious and It was a good thing. All those things look like wins for Trump. They say the polling would be better. All that stuff.
Ignore it all. Ignore, in a campaign, stick to the basics.
Other people can run around and say, oh boy, we might win New Jersey or New York. If you care about this, you have to make the argument in the places where it matters. In five or six states, in 20 or 25 counties. Montgomery County in in Pennsylvania, Maricopa County in Arizona. I have, in Milwaukee, I guess is Milwaukee County. I’m not sure of that, but I think it is. In Wisconsin. It’s Pennsylvania, it’s Michigan, it’s Wisconsin, it’s Arizona. It’s Nevada and Omaha, Nebraska.
And what I’d encourage people who are listening, who care about the results and by the way, if you are, if you’re in the, if you’re in the other side of the the aisle, if you think Biden is the guy. Then you should go ahead and you should say to yourself, you Know what? I I’m I. I’m gonna focus on the place that matters for him. That’s where the battle is. That is where the battle is. And so everybody needs to make the big deal the big deal, the big deal. Make the big deal the big deal. Focus on exactly what’s at stake, exactly what is happening and where it really matters. Leave the dreaming the, the, the, the. You know the the New York State dreaming to other people. You gotta be you got to be disciplined. You gotta be disciplined. You gotta know what’s at stake. And you gotta know what the game is and where it’s at, and that’s my. That’s what you need to know today.
A lot of people are running around with other deep thoughts are gonna say ohh if you just pick so and so you can win the. You as a. VP you’ll win such and such a state. First of all, that doesn’t happen, but they’re gonna if if people are looking for, if people are looking for the kinds of the kinds of of opportunities, the kinds of how to say it. Hail Marys or knockout punches? That’s better. Knockout punch. You gonna have ohh knockout punch in some dramatic way. That’s not, that is not what ends up happening. That is not what gives you success.
Success is grinding, grinding, grinding and continue to grind. Continue to make sure that you are playing in the right places and not getting distracted. You know, death by 1000 cuts is a line I often say, election lost by 1000 cuts is one of the things you have to be careful of. Don’t get yourself roped into arguments and places that don’t matter. You know 30, 40, 50% of the country in certain parts of the country are locked in. You’re not gonna change their mind no matter what. So don’t even think about that part either. Don’t get roped into that.
But as to making the big deal the big deal, it’s so important. It is so important for conservatives. To realize that they have to focus on the right place, the right place, the right arguments and and and understand that in those places it’s going to be intense. It’s going to be intense. It is going to be it is going to become really Ground Zero for the presidential election and and all, this is what I’m gonna say. I’m looking back at my notes.
If it turns out that it’s a landslide and you know, if Joe Biden continues the way he’s going, it might become a landslide. That doesn’t matter. Then you can sit back and say, OK, good. We won Pennsylvania, Wisconsin. Michigan, Arizona, Nevada and we ended up winning. You know, I don’t know, Virginia. You know Virginia’s close by the way, that’s a toss up. I might. I might actually pay attention there because it went it recently voted for a Republican for governor, but it was a washout in the in the following in the following elections, you know the 20, the 2023 elections were just a washout complete. So I don’t know if I’d bother with that. Anyway that’s the big deal. The people who know what’s at stake and know how the game is played. They will understand what’s happening.
You know, one last thing. There’s a reason why Scott Pressler, Scott Pressler moved himself and his fan, and and his his his entire operation to Pennsylvania about 6 months ago, it’s because he knew he knew exactly what was at stake. He knew exactly where the action was. He knew exactly how to keep it focused on the right thing, make the big deal the big deal. Understand that in the face of great news, great polls, all that stuff, you still gotta go grind it. You still gotta go grind it in the right places in the right places. That’s what you need to know.
Alright, we’ll take a break. We are back. Ed Martin here in the Pro America Report back in a moment.
