The following is a transcript from the Pro America Report.
Welcome, Welcome, welcome. It’s Ed Martin here on. The Pro America Report and. It is someday, boy, it’s someday we have. A lot to talk about. We have some great guests coming up in a few moments and we’ll talk about that and a lot more. But first, let me remind you, go to proamericareport.com, proamericareport.com this is the Pro America Report. With Ed Martin. And when you get there, you can sign up for the daily e-mail, the daily e-mail, the daily WYNK. It’s called what you need to know. It will come into your inbox at 8:00 AM East Coast to 5:00 AM Pacific, and every time in between. And I hope you’ll do that. And we have a lot. Of folks connected that way. And if you got this morning’s If you got this morning’s WYNK, I was. I was up late last night and I made sure to take a look at the crazy indictment out of Georgia. And and I I mentioned. In the WYNK. And that’s what you got to look at. What you need to know is that yet another indictment. This time by the DA of Fulton County, a rabidly pro Democrat District Attorney. It’s a mess. It’s a real mess. They’re all a mess. All these indictments are messy. They’re disastrous for the prosecutors. If there was a real bar, if there was. A real media. I mean, they would be disastrous. They’re embarrassing and the practicalities of the Fulton County indictment was that they leaked it. I don’t know an hour before then, they said, oh, that’s not the real indictment. And then an hour later, now they do. I by accounts news accounts is that they leaked the names of the grand jury, which is against the law. I mean, it’s just a. It’s just a disaster. We’ll get to that in a moment.
We have two great guests today. Shawn Carney, our friend from 40 days for life, will be on talking about RFK and RFK spoke some truth about abortion and realized he’s a Democrat. He can’t speak truth like that. And then Tom Trento. Tom Trento is a filmmaker who has a beginning, a docu series. With Tom Holman, the very well respected law enforcement guy who ran lCE under Trump and so defendtheborder.org is their website. We’ll talk with Tom Trento in a few moments. So back to the news. You need to know.
Look. There’s not a lot of original Takes on this at this point, but I just want to point out to you, there is a certain way that you can look at these and you can see sort of an escalating level. Of absurdity. And I don’t mean to be dismissive when I say this, but it will sound that way. You know, federal prosecutors. Are generally better lawyers. They’re they’re slicker, they’re smarter, they’re more trained, they have more resources. And as you get to the local prosecutors, it becomes more amateurish. Sometimes that’s because the people who are are are the the local district attorneys are actually amateurs. You know, they’re not prosecutors for their full time job. They’ve been practicing law in some other way. They run for office. They’re political types.
But when you look at this Fulton County indictment, first of all, they they indicted like 17 people. It’s insane. And then the claims, basically, he’s being indicted for tweeting, indicted for talking about a TV show being indicted. I mean, it’s a crazy, crazy grand conspiracy. And yet. And yet. The absurdity of it. Is clearer and clearer. Right. The federal indictments. They’re at least sort of well done. They’re they’re sneaky. They’re slick. Remember that one? One of the indictments? I think the. Mara Lago boxes was the whole thing. Was was the grand jury was impaneled in DC, where you get a friendly treatment and then all of the testimony was read into the record in Florida, which is where jurisdiction should be so that you can get the indictment. So, but my point is they’re slick. They’re slick. Jack Smith and his crew are slick. They know what they’re doing. This DA in Fulton County. It’s a disaster. It’s a mess.
And yet. You heard me say that A few times, and yet. Here’s the problem.
There are at least two. Institutions in this country. In our America, that should be vehemently rejecting these indictments and vehemently protesting the fact that they’re happening.
One is the bar. The legal community should be saying. What is this? What’s happening? Why is this occurring? The legal community, instead of watching John Eastman, I was telling somebody this last night. John Eastman was not I don’t even I don’t even think I knew that he was any kind of right wing conservative. I think I knew he was one of those eggheads who was Dean of a law school. Chapman University. And it’s a more conservative one, that’s true. But I don’t think I knew anything and they make him sound like he’s like, a, a, an absolute rabid right winger. It wasn’t true. It’s just not true. And yet they’ve been able to paint this guy as a bad guy. And again, where’s the bar? Where’s the bar? Where are the people who have have made it a calling to be defenders of the system, the Constitution, the rule of law, our justice system? Where are they? They should be protesting. They should be saying. Wait a second. Wait a second. Wait a second. You can disagree with John Eastman. You can disagree with Sidney Powell. You can think that their theories of a case are outside of the mainstream that’s not criminal, it’s not criminal. You cannot criminalize opinions, especially when it comes to complicated issues around politics. It’s unbelievable. It’s unbelievable to watch and it’s stunning to me that the bar, the legal community, law professors, law professors are usually insulated. They have tenure, they they more, they’re more, they’re don’t get me the wrong way. They’re they’re more arrogant. Maybe they’re more. Confident, you could say. And they usually. Can speak freely. Where are they? I mean, why are there not protests at law school saying no. No, no, no, you can’t do that to a Dean. You can’t do that to a a law, Jeff Clark got charged again. He got indicted again. It’s a crazy thing that’s happening. It’s just amazing to watch.
And the 2nd and yet, and yet the 2nd and yet. Where’s the media? I mean, even Fox News is just going along with this absurdity. As if it’s something that should be engaged, it should be. It should be either mocked. Or so abjectly, abjectly criticized that it would be almost a like a scathing, l hate to use the word indictment, A scathing treatment that would be like you can’t do this. Where is that?
Honestly, we’ve conditioned ourselves to be in this crisis mode. And yet. It’s working. And yet it’s working. No bar, no bar standing up, no legal community standing up. No media standing up. And here’s the thing. Back to this what you need to know.
It’s working because. I hear from people all the time. They say I agree with Trump. I agree he didn’t do anything but. I’m tired of it. I’m tired of. It I have told you for years now it’s not Trump Derangement syndrome. That’s the threat to this country. It’s Trump exhaustion syndrome. They are exhausting us. And and you. Your mind begins to associate. The exhaustion of all this attention. With the candidate. With with Trump and you don’t have to look closely at his his own truth social. You know his post, he said. You know why? Why did they wait 2 1/2 years to do this? They couldn’t charge this sooner. And he says. Election interference. lt feels like that. It feels like that. I don’t have any proof. But it certainly feels like it.
And we’re watching it happen before our eyes and we’re watching this country more and more people, you know, someone said if you’re a lawyer, do you ever want to work for Trump? All the lawyers that work for Trump got indicted. Not all, but most of them, many of them. It’s a. It’s a. It’s an absolute disgrace. That we are here. It’s an absolute disgrace that this is what’s happening and it’s a monstrous, monstrous problem for our country. It’s a huge problem. It’s a huge problem. It’s put us in a terrible, terrible position. To deal with it.
Alright, we have got to take a break. We’re we’re gonna come back. We got Tom Trento, the documentary filmmaker, and also Shawn Carney will catch up with both of them. Carney is gonna break down what RFK Junior said he he said he’s pro-life, at least a little bit, and then he was shouted down. I have. I’ve been pointing this out for years. There is a real real problem, a kind of civil war percolating in the Democrat Party on this issue of abortion and others. They they will not tolerate any dissent. And so RFK Junior said. You know, I think I would sign a, you know, a a bill that bans some abortions. And then he was immediately told how to walk that back. And he did. And he did. To his shame. I mean, I, you know, he’s a politician now. He’s not a he’s not a he’s not a truth speaker because he’s a politician. He’s trying to run so and we’ll talk with Tom Trento. I’m very interested to hear about Tom Trento’s documentary and about what’s happening at the border. He has chosen to popularize the border Crisis through the use of the personality of Tom Holman, the well respected law enforcement Guy, Law enforcement leader who for I don’t know, 25 years has been in the forefront of law enforcement and in the last seven or eight years headed up Donald Trump’s lCE. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and is very impressive guy. So we’ll we’ll check that out. We’ll take a break, we’ll break back. It’s Ed Martin here. On the Pro America Report back in a moment.
