The following is a transcript from the Pro America Report with Ryan Hite.
Welcome to the Pro America Report. This is Ryan Hite filling in for Mr. Ed Martin today. It has been a crazy week, lots of things happening up at the RNC republican convention in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Still going on going through tonight, night four, the final night, tonight it the night Donald Trump will accept the nomination for the republican party to run for president of the United States, that’s what happening. He was officially nominated on Monday when they gathered, and all the delegates cast their votes according to the state primaries and caucuses, but tonight is the night that we accept the official nomination, the official acceptance I should say for Donald Trump. Last night was the night JD Vance did that for the vice presidential nomination.
And we’ve been talking this week. I know you got a little bit of ed, a little bit of me as we have been talking through some of the stuff that’s happened at the republican convention. I want to cover a little bit more today. We had last night, make America strong again, of course they’ve got this make America wealthy again, make America safe again, make America strong again, you can guess what tonight is going to be, make America great again. And I want to get into a little of that with you.

Let me dive in here well get straight to it, right into the information right into the meat of what we wanna talk about today. Yesterday I had the opportunity to sit with you and I really wanted to talk about how the fact you know the the non-traditional voices we are seeing highlighted at the rnc I know there is a lot of criticism coming particularly from some of the social conservative, Christian conservative right about these voices that they do not represent the values or what should be the core values of the republican party.
I make no bones about it, I don’t disagree, I don’t disagree that they do not represent what ought to be the values of the republican party. However, those core social and moral values that guide the republican party, here’s the thing let’s remember one key item.
The republican party is not that thing which defines that organization which defines the morals and values of we the people. It represents them, it is a political machine, its a unifying tool in our toolkit as citizen of the United States of America we gather around this political party and have a unified perspective, a unified place from which we run our political campaigns, from which we ask the voters at large to look at our vision for America and choose us, that is what the republican party is for.
And guess what, people come to a different conclusion, people change their minds, people move from one side of the political spectrum to the other, this happens. And when they move over, when they decide to change their minds, that is a powerful political statement. And I believe that it is very wise of the rnc to highlight that, because this is an outreach program, this isn’t how we’re governing, this isn’t the laws that we’re putting into place, this is the convention to hype up who we have running and what we are running on, and this year what we are running on a message of freedom and who we are running against is a deep entrenched powerful group of elites that want nothing to do with freedom, liberty, limited government, the constitution, our unique Christian American heritage, none of it.
That message if it resonates with someone is a good thing for us to put them front and center. Because that is going to attract people that we don’t have credibility with, these new voices do. This is not defining our morals this is the outreach program that lets people know what were about, and for them their knowledge we’re about freedom which is true. We could get in, you and I, to the nuance of what that means, but that’s what that’s about.
So here is the fun thing we saw from last night, and here’s what you need to know.
What you need to know is the republican party is going in a new direction and that new direction is a good direction I believe, I firmly believe. I think that the era of Donald Trump has given rise now to the next era of Trump and JD Vance. JD Vance wasn’t my first pick, wasn’t really on my radar but frankly the more that we have gone through this week, seen and heard more from him, looked more into his past, and quite honestly seeing who is against him, who is coalesced against JD Vance, who does not like him, who has never liked him, I’ve gotten to like him a lot more, as i’ve actually taken a look into who he is.
And I tell you what this culminates in, last night he delivered his acceptance speech for the nomination of vice president, republican nominee for vice president. And let me tell you some dynamics, first of all I think he gave a fine speech, it was good, and may I say one very key element was there is the working man, the forgotten working man and woman of America was highlighted once again. That is a thunder that has belonged to the democrat party and it was stolen this week by Donald John Trump and James David Vance, let me tell you.
But here’s another thing I noticed greatly a very big difference: the family, a family message, the American family, the strength of the unit of the American family was on display last night. And that doesn’t mean these guys come from strong and healthy thriving Christian family backgrounds. Both JD Vance and Donald Trump have their share of family division and turmoil and brokenness in their past.
And yet family came over and over to the forefront of the conversation. This is very different from the left from our democrat party, the political machine of the modern left that destroys the family, that is seeking to completely eliminate the natural order of the family unit. That was a sharp division that I saw, not only from the Trump side of the family, Donald Jr. coming out to talk, his oldest daughter coming out to talk about her grandpa, our president, but then JD Vance and his family on the stage, there was a strong message of family at the center of the American idea of the american people and I think that was a very powerful contrast to the democrat party who has trashed, destroyed the family at every opportunity.
But more than that, that was in my opinion I noticed that strong overtone of last night but here is something I think is incredibly important.
The more we have gotten to dive in to JD Vance the more we see someone who is not your standard politician he follows an incredibly diverse group of people, and I know that the left has really latched on to this. “What JD Vance really believes,” that was the vox article about “what JD Vance really believes the dark world view of trumps choice for vice president explained.” And politico “the seven thinkers and groups that have shaped JD Vance’s unusual world view,” Post liberals, crunchy cons, and monarchists.
Well you know its a lot of interesting stuff that you’ve been hearing from here at the Pro America Report. If you ever listen to me and Mason, the producers, when we run wild over at Unauthorized Caucus, I’m just kidding its not wild. But you’re starting to hear from Ed and me, from Mason, from Phyllis Schlafly, from Phyllis Schlafly Eagles that the republican party is our political vehicle, but it has long been driven by neocon globalist forces, the Bush era republicans. This is not a representation of the conservative or the right wing values that we want in the forefront, and I tell you what, that populist nationalist kind of, I hate to say vibe or feeling, but the populist, nationalist ideas that trump has brought to the center of the conversation, I believe very firmly that they may just find the next level of being put back at the center of republican party politics with JD Vance at Donald Trump’s Side and potentially being set up to receive the mantel in 2028.
The power of incumbency going into the next presidential election. I think that could be very powerful, because JD Vance is drawing his ideas not from the neocons and the globalists and these hacks that have taken over the last 30 years of republican politics. JD Vance is looking back into different things that you could call the new right or the dissident right, but you and I know it as looking at the values, looking at how we work how it ought to work in america, and returning to the foundational principals not just what it was 30 years ago with neocons in charge. I think JD Vance represents a great fresh change alongside Donald Trump in the republican party, I think we’re going in a new direction and its GOOD.
