Bringing the story of one of our nation’s greatest soldiers to life!
St. Louis, MO: Phyllis Schlafly Eagles and one of its partner organizations, America’s Future, are announcing the release of the audiobook of Hazardous Duty: An American Soldier in the 20th Century. This is the autobiography of Maj. General John K. “Jack” Singlaub (U.S. Army, Ret.) — the Chairman of America’s Future and long-time personal friend of Phyllis Schlafly.
“General Singlaub is an incredible patriot who loves his country and served it in uniform for many decades,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “He has a uniquely astounding military career, and Hazardous Duty gives us an absolutely incredible inside look into it.
“Our Phyllis Schlafly Eagles team is so proud to partner with Gen. Singlaub and America’s Future to make this comprehensive military biography into an audio book. This project will be a great achievement in the work of preserving and sharing Gen. Singlaub’s legacy, not only of his military service but also his work since on behalf of our great republic.”
Major General John K. “Jack” Singlaub (U.S. Army, Ret.) is one of America’s most decorated soldiers. His career spans decades and multiple foreign conflicts of the United States. From his earliest days as a Jedburgh, operating behind German lines in WWII, to his time as a high-ranking advisor to military operations in the fight against Communism, America has known few soldiers with the longevity, wisdom, and leadership of General Singlaub.
In the words of Medal of Honor recipient Staff Sergeant David Bellavia, who received the 2019 annual Singlaub Award for Service to America: “He is an American icon. He fought for liberty, he loved this country, and he hated Communists.”
