Anti-Trump texts from FBI agents now missing, Sessions orders investigation.
St. Louis, MO: Since May 2017, a supposedly independent investigation has plagued the news about alleged 2016 election collusion between Russia and the Trump Campaign. After many months and many more millions of dollars, Robert Mueller's special prosecution has resulted in what some have called "a big nothing-burger." However, breaking news in the last few days has brought this story back to the forefront, presumably to Mueller and company's disappointment.
"As rumors swirl about a new memo on substantial surveillance abuses under President Obama, we are finding out about shocking corruption at very high levels," said Ed Martin, President of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. "Many Congressmen are now blowing the whistle on these abuses and on a large group of anti-Trump employees at the FBI.
"In the midst of talk about the FISA memo, news broke this week that months of text messages between two now-dismissed agents have 'gone missing' and are unavailable for scrutiny! The communications we do have show a stunning plot against Trump from very high in the FBI. Some Members of Congress have even referred to it as a 'secret society,' quoting from the texts themselves."
Martin continued: "Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced yesterday that the Justice Department is launching a probe into these missing messages. We applaud this action. As we witness these investigators-turned-persons-of-interest we can only be grateful that some of the most entrenched parts of the Washington Swamp Bureaucracy are being exposed."
