A newly released map from the State Supreme Court finds Democrats heavily favored.
St. Louis, MO: With the Pennsylvania Republican legislature and Democrat Governor Tom Wolf unable to agree on a new Congressional district map, the burden of producing a new map fell to the state Supreme Court. On Monday the court-drawn map was released. It completely up-ends the current numbering system and changes the lines to heavily favor Democrats. The new districts also leave many representatives living outside their current districts.
"This stab of activism from the bench wreaks of political favoritism and will cause chaos in elections across Pennsylvania," said Ed Martin, President of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. "The new map leaves current representatives residing outside their current districts and completely changes the district numbers voters know. Worst of all, it stinks of political favoritism as it favors only – and largely – the Democrat political machine.
"The Pennsylvania legislature and voters must fight back against this shameless display of judicial supremacy. As Pennsylvania voters have turned toward conservative policies that benefit the state, the Left's political machine has become more desperate to stop the rise of conservative legislators and executives. This is their latest surprise attack to try and tip the electoral scales in their favor. We cannot allow this brazen abuse of the judiciary. Pennsylvanians must decry this Swamp-Like power move and stand up for their state!"
Phyllis Schlafly Eagles follows the long-standing legacy of Phyllis Schlafly in fighting back against Judicial Supremacists who legislate and politic from the bench. Phyllis Schlafly's 2004 book The Supremacists covers much on this topic and has been the center of many study groups and curriculum to educate legislators and voters on the dangers of an activist judiciary.
