Washington, D.C.: Today, leaders and top executives of the largest tech companies in the U.S. are meeting with the Trump Administration at the White House in the hopes of advancing American leadership in innovation and to address how the technology industry can affect jobs and the economy. Participants include the CEOs of Google, IBM, Microsoft, Qualcomm, and many others.
“We are glad to see the lines of communication open between the Trump White House and these all-important American companies,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “We would also caution the administration and other conservatives to remember that some of these tech giants have been vehemently opposed to many Trump policies. These companies and their leaders have much to rectify, including and especially the systematic efforts to silence conservatives online and many other points of free and open dialogue.”
