FL Gov. DeSantis Warns Ben & Jerry’s, Unilever: 90 Days to Reverse Israel Boycott
Washington, D.C.: “Americans shouldn’t feel powerless against of woke corporations,” said Phyllis Schlafly Eagles president Ed Martin. “While it feels like these commercial giants run roughshod over our culture, we have to reach their ears with the language they understand — dollars. Maybe it’s time good state leaders learned to speak that language too!”
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has issued warning to Ben & Jerry’s and their parent company Unilever. The latter has announced the withdrawal of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream sales from what the left calls the “Occupied Palestinian Territory.” DeSantis said Unilever has 90 days to reverse their boycott or face consequences in Florida, including the barring of state pension funds from investments in Unilever.
Ed Martin continued, “Ben & Jerry’s and Unilever have both made clear in the past that they are committed to ‘social justice’ and ‘equity’ both in America and across the world. Giving the cold shoulder to our nation’s only Middle Eastern ally is simply too much for patriots to stomach.
“Governor DeSantis is famous now for battling fake news and woke warriors. This warning to Unilever may be a great example for other state leaders. They can use their influence to stand up to woke corporations. It’s past time some level of government uses our tax dollars to advance pro-America values and interests!”
