Washington, D.C.: “The desperate flailing of legacy media has been on full display this weekend,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “60 Minutes gave the infamous January 6 character Ray Epps a puff piece interview. Fox News shocked with the exit of not only Dan Bongino but even Tucker Carlson. CNN finally gave Don Lemon the can as well to start this week. Hacks like Lemon getting fired is good, but I think it’s even better that crusaders for truth like Tucker are free to move on.
“Traditional American media is letting out a pitiful death rattle as they descend into irrelevancy. This should excite all of us as a new breed of truth tellers are freed from their contracts. What we need is for the Tuckers and Dan Bonginos of the world to build better platforms that pursue the truth above everything else.
“Imagine that? News sources that are biased to only one thing — facts! The opportunities are endless and We the People are hungry for it. Fox has long lost its appetite for truth-telling and offers little difference or disagreement to the ideologues at CNN and MSNBC. I hope and pray that these recently ousted hosts who have used their platforms for great things will upend the system itself and take over Americans’ airwaves with logic, reason, and the truth behind our traditional American values. Onward to better things!”
