The following is a transcript from the Pro America Report.
Welcome, welcome, welcome. Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report. And it is, well, what an interesting day. We’ve got some work to do, some things to cover and a few things to talk about. So we’ll get right to that in a few moments.
Also, towards the end of the program, I will pick up on segment four a conversation I had today with Lee Smith, the great Lee Smith, who is doing a TV program over at the Epoch Times. And first of all, salute to him. As always, we’ll talk about him and also to The Epoch Times for what they’re doing. Over the Target. Over the Target is the name of the program. And I was on there this morning, earlier today, and I will tell you about that because it was very cool and really nice of him to do.
All right, in a few moments, we will hear a couple of interviews. Let me see who I’ve got lined up for you today.
Karen Straughan, who is the, let me see this. Who is the, excuse me, is an expert, an anti feminist is what she calls herself, an expert on feminism and its problems. We’ll talk with her about title IX. She’s really funny. She does a YouTube program called Girl writes what?
And then we’ll catch up with somebody very special, Nikki Schaefer, who is the head of a ministry called Heart of a Child Ministries, which started with pillows, pillows for Prolife and finished, not finished, continues now with that, but also with ultrasounds in schools and education. Extraordinary stuff. So we will talk with Nikki Schaefer. All right. First.
What you need to know today. What you need to know for this end of the week, ending, this historic week is the perfect example, the emblematic example, the simplest example of the narrative machine at work.
Because in the last 48 hours, I guess it only posted in the last 48 hours. I’m not sure when Zuckerberg spoke with Joe Rogan, but Joe Rogan did it again on his podcast. He had a conversation with Mark Zuckerberg. And as I mentioned, it posted in the last day or so, maybe two days, and in it there were lots of conversations.
Mark Zuckerberg, he’s not a minor figure in American life. He’s a very interesting kind of visionary, kind of CEO. He’s worth listening to and learning about. I don’t like everything he does. I certainly don’t like his Zuckerbucks. The effort he did to funnel money into what I think were inappropriate avenues and lots of illegality is what it seems to me is likely. But interesting guy, interesting history.
But on the Joe Rogan interview, he admitted that Facebook received a heads up from the FBI in the 2020 election cycle. The FBI gave them the heads up, and the heads up was given to tell them, hey, we expect some Russian disinformation to come. When you guys see it, we need you to kind of do something about it.
Now Zuckerberg goes out of his way to defend himself. He says, when we heard that there was Russian disinformation coming, we were on the lookout. And then the Hunter Biden laptop came.
And then Zuckerberg defends himself. And Facebook, he says, well, Twitter shut it down completely. We didn’t shut it down completely. We just made sure the algorithm made it really hard to share. It really hard for you to see it. Let me say it that way.
And I was on this Lee Smith’s program on the Epoch Times TV, and one of the guests on there was talking about how she wanted to post something that was controversial, a give send go link, and it was flagged when she posted it on her Facebook page. And she said, well, I’ll just directly send it to someone through messaging. And it was flagged in the Facebook messaging. In other words, their AI and their computers are watching all that.
So here’s Zuckerberg admitting in 2020, in the months in the days before the election, Facebook gets an alert from the FBI. This is what Zuckerberg says.
And we were on the lookout, and when we saw the Hunter Biden laptop, we jumped into action.
Now, remember what the FBI said. They didn’t. This is how the narrative machine works. This is how it’s fantastic. It’s perfect.
According to Zuckerberg, the FBI did not say, watch out for the Hunter Biden laptop. They said, watch out for Russian disinformation. And what they did with Hunter Biden’s laptop. Remember? 50 experts, security experts, CIA, top level people said it’s Russian disinformation.
In other words, the talking point of the FBI was watch for Russian disinformation.
And then they all said, Hunter Biden’s laptop is Russian disinformation. And so Zuckerberg did what he was told, and he shut it down, and he steered it. So the AI, the algorithms, everything else, didn’t allow you to see it.
And it worked.
Now at the same time, of course, all over CNN, all over MSNBC, was the claim of Russian disinformation, that Hunter Biden laptop. So think about how the narrative machine and to this day, many Americans will say, oh yeah, that Hunter Biden laptop was disinformation.
Now it’s proven it isn’t. Now it’s proven it is not.
So let me say that again. Let me say it a little cleaner.
Here’s what the narrative machine did in this case, big government, FBI, plus its alumni program, they all prepared, and they said, hey, don’t let this out. And here’s why it’s Russian disinformation. And Facebook and everybody went, they didn’t check.
They didn’t say, what are you talking about? How do you know it’s Russian disinformation?
Just because 50 former experts of security say so doesn’t mean it is. Are you sure about that? What’s the story? No, they didn’t do any of that. In fact, Facebook said at the time, we’re not going to let this thing be shared I’m not going to even share it. Their top guy, Andy Stone, I think is his name, Andy something, and he said, I’m not going to share it because we’re checking, fact checking it.
And then it never fact checked. And nobody ever put the fact check out because it turns out it was true.
So big government puts out the program. Big tech says, we got it. We got it. Shut it down. And big media is riding right along.
Now, let me say it cleaner.
In the weeks and months surrounding that Hunter Biden laptop story, in the time when it was most important, from October until November, it worked. No one in the country was rioting to get to the truth. Everybody assumed, wow, well, the Narrative Machine, I mean, the narrative on this, the truth on this must be this.
It took a year, year and a half how long for it to be admitted that it was a fraud, that the whole thing was made up in terms of Russian disinformation, that it was actually a legit laptop.
It’s like the Ashley Biden diary.
Everyone, they wouldn’t admit that it was a real diary. Turns out it’s a real diary. I don’t care. I didn’t look closely at the diary. But the point here is the Narrative Machine took over big government, that’s the FBI and its alumni in national security and in the intelligence community. That’s it.
Let me get again, watch this. The Narrative Machine, big government, that’s FBI and the intelligence community alumni network, they take the Hunter Biden laptop and they force the message that it’s Russian disinformation. Now, the public would be well served by other parts of our nation checking on the government, but not in this case, because the Narrative Machine, now, big tech says, Check. Got it.
You guys warned us. We got it. We’ll play along.
And then big media, CNN, I can picture CNN having Clapper on, and Clapper is saying, James Clapper, and saying, well, I’m a senior Department of the Director of National Security, national Intelligence, and I tell you, this is Russian disinformation. My 49 colleagues agree with me. We put out a letter and the Narrative Machine shuts down.
Are you telling me that it wouldn’t have changed the election to know that that laptop was real? Of course it would have. Of course it would have.
There was interfering in the 2020 election.
Again, was it illegal? I don’t know if anybody broke the law. Is it breaking the law for the FBI to be corrupt, to be lying about it? I don’t know if that’s breaking. I don’t know what law they broke. That’s probably one of the tricks that’s the Mark Elias trick when they interviewed him. Time magazine said, what happened in the election of 2020? And they said, we fortified the election. They did everything that they could to manipulate the rules and manipulate the public and manipulate for the outcome they wanted.
I don’t know for sure that the FBI broke the law, but they certainly shouldn’t be allowed to do it again. And they certainly should be ashamed of themselves, and they’re not.
And the same thing with Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg didn’t say, man, what a bunch of suckers we were. Zuckerberg did not say to Joe Rogan, you know what, Joe? I’m really embarrassed by this. They played us. We got played. He didn’t say that. He did not say that. He didn’t care. He didn’t care that the FBI played them because they wanted to be played.
Because the narrative machine, what you basically need is everybody gets sort of implausible deniability from their partners in it. And here we are.
We the people, we’re at the mercy. We the people are at the mercy of the narrative machine.
And I tell you, let me be clear. You can watch the narrative machine right now. One part of the narrative machine, the Republicans are just as big a part of it, because the Republicans don’t want the issue. I’m talking about the Republicans in power and the establishment. They clearly don’t want the issue of immigration and the border to be covered. That should be the number one issue on the news. There’s death, there’s drugs, there’s corruption, there’s violence at our border, and it’s not being covered. Nobody is demanding it. The narrative machine. I tell you, I’m going to write this up as a blog post. One of my colleagues, Gwen, keeps saying why I don’t do that. I’m going to write it up as a blog post, write it up as a clear essay and lay it out because it’s so important to understand what the narrative machine is doing to us.
They did it to us on the Russia hoax. They did it to us on many of the other hoaxes on Trump. They did it to us on the January 6 hoax, and they did it to us, of course, on the Hunter Biden laptop hoax.
It’s terrible for this country.
All right, we got to take a break. We come back. We got some great interviews. I’ll be back in a moment.
Ed Martin here on the Pro American Report. Back in a moment.
