Washington, D.C.: Candidates for the 2020 Democratic Presidential nomination gather tonight and tomorrow in Detroit, Michigan for the second round of primary debates. The primary race so far has already been nauseating, but tonight’s debate is sure to be an even swampier cesspool of political correctness.
“Washington Gov. Jay Inslee specifically asked if the National Anthem would be played at this week’s debates. It’s sad that the American people have to wonder whether all of the candidates will even choose to stand for the Star Spangled Banner,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Eager to appear ‘woke’ and pander to rabid leftists of the party, one or more candidates might just embarrass themselves even further than their horrendous policies (or lack of policies) has already.
“Denigrating our American flag and National Anthem is about the only thing that could make these debate circuses any worse. They should spend less time being woke and more time finding solutions that work for American citizens.”
