Washington, D.C.: Candidate Trump promised voters under his Tax Cuts and Jobs Act “everybody is getting a tax cut, especially the middle class.” Leftists and media elites threw a fit and lied to the American people, telling us that Trump’s plan cut taxes only for businesses and the wealthy. The truth?
“Even after negotiation and passage through Congress, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 cut taxes for 90% of Americans,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Check the numbers and you’ll find the truth! This legislation was certainly beneficial for the middle class and for businesses, but it also lowered rates, doubled the standard deduction, and eliminated Obamacare penalties. Even if you are someone who didn’t experience a direct cut to their personal tax bill, everyone of all economic classes benefited from the lowered corporate tax rate in the form of jobs, bonuses, and raises. Trump cut taxes and gave a boost to all Americans. Promise made, promise kept.”
President Donald Trump made many significant promises to the American people. During the first three and a half years of his administration he has delivered. The radical left hates this agenda and the Fake News won’t cover it, but voters need to be educated before they go to the polls in November.
