Senators Push Ahead Voter Registration Checks Despite Pressure
Washington, D.C.: “Pennsylvania Senators took a great step last night in fighting for the voting rights of their citizens,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “The Senate Intergovernmental Operations Committee approved a subpoena to the Department of State requesting name, address, and driver’s license records on all voters registered as of last November.
“Checking the voter registration records can only result in ensuring that no citizen has their right to vote taken away. Anyone who claims otherwise has something to gain by blocking transparency in the election process. Voters must be confident that their vote counts! Their demand for courageous state representation can be heard throughout the country.”
Martin concluded, “This is a great step forward despite intense pressure from the left and the Democrat politicians running Pennsylvania. Bravo, senators! Keep going in the fight for voter confidence.”
