Today is Election Day, a fact which you may or may not have already heard about. Sadly, these off-year elections never receive the kind of media attention that is thrown at Congressional and especially Presidential years. However, this lack of attention does not equate to a lack of importance. In fact, many of these off-year races are at least as consequential as the big races that you hear about in the news.
Throughout the nation, Americans will be voting on governorships that will determine the trajectory of their state. Many a conservative legislature has been thwarted by a tepid governor, so giving your state strong conservative leadership is critical.
Even if your state does not have a gubernatorial race on the ballot, you probably will have the opportunity to vote on ballot measures, which are the favorite dirty trick of special interest groups. When they can’t buy out a vote in the state legislature, many interest groups funded by huge donors will spend millions to buy out a ballot measure. Making your voice heard against these corporations is a huge deal.
Hitting even closer to home, today’s elections will almost certainly afford you the opportunity to have a voice in your local leadership, including school boards, library boards, county executives, and more. These local elections are an indispensable bastion in the bulwark against woke indoctrination. You can’t complain about what’s going on in our schools if you won’t even take the time to go out and vote for conservative school board candidates! These are the folks spending your tax dollars, so you have a duty to ensure that your community is protected from using your tax dollars for woke purposes.
Voting in the so-called “important” years is certainly important, but the test of a true patriot is whether he is willing to make his voice heard even when the mainstream media’s silence beckons him to stay home. Don’t shrink from your duty in America’s hour of need. Go vote today!
