President Trump is keeping his promises; fake news won’t cover it.
Washington, D.C.: Before the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, countless Americans were saddled with an extra tax burden for the crime of being married. This “marriage penalty” made no sense at all. There is no benefit to our communities or our nation to discourage marriage. In fact, the incentive should go in exactly the opposite direction. Candidate Donald Trump promised to remove the marriage penalty from the United States tax code.
“In the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, President Trump did just what he promised,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Married couples are far less likely to live below the poverty line or take government handouts. The United States government should not create a financial burden for pursuing the healthiest, most socially positive option. President Trump was wise to follow through with this. Promise made, promise kept.”
President Donald Trump made many significant promises to the American people. During the first three and a half years of his administration he has delivered. The radical left hates this agenda and the Fake News won’t cover it, but voters need to be educated before they go to the polls in November.
