Now what you need to Know today, today’s WYNK. It is time to identify, if not celebrate, the reality of one of the largest of the narrative machine’s, Big Media partners.
So remember. The narrative machine, which is big government working with big media and big tech, puts out a narrative and not only forces it on the American people and swamps out other narratives and other truths, but also does it in such a way that it’s a kind of brainwashing. And at this point it’s propaganda at its worst in my opinion. Now, don’t be fooled that the main stream media, big media, big tech, they will cover certain things that are inescapable. You know the the scores from the baseball playoffs, the the you know, size of the crowd at a concert. You know, Taylor Swift right now is is all the rage and all that kind of stuff. They’ll cover a lot of stuff. And it’ll be factually correct, but the fake news of the narrative machine is significant, and you all see it now, and it’s getting worse. In fact, it’s it’s a lot worse. It’s it’s worse every day, and it’s worse because of the fake news industry, which is what the narrative machine is.
The narrator machine is the fake news industry, and it’s it is not fair to blame it only on the, say, cable news or only on the Washington Post. It’s the narrative machine, big government and big media and big tech. Working together, each in large part different parts and different pieces, but working together.
So now comes the news. That the Washington Post is losing money a lot of money and it’s basically failing and flailing.
Now two observations. One, the Washington Post has been useless on the main stories on the serious stories of the moment. They they lied about Russia. Well, let me say it better. They either got Russia so wrong, the Russia, Russia, Russia, hoax. They got it so wrong. They never apologized. They did takedown some stories, but they never apologized or they were lying because they were desperate because they wanted to tie up Trump and my own opinion is they were working with big government and big Media to tie up Trump, Russia, Russia Russia hoax was one piece. Of it, the Mueller investigation in general was the largest thing, but then you go pick another one. Ukraine phone call that Trump got impeached over one thing after another. January 6th is the one I’m closest to because I’ve been working as a citizen journalist on that. And you’re seeing that story breaking right now. I have. I’m not a professional journalist, I’m not trained formally as a journalist, I’m an attorney, a lawyer who’s trained to understand the law and to understand the facts and the system around the law. I’ve done a lot of others a lot. Of other stuff, including media. As a contributor, as an opinion guy, whatever, I’m not, naturally I’m not. I’m I’m neither professionally trained or maybe formally trained as a journalist I know. Naturally, a a journalist. I like my opinions, but I’ve had to become a citizen journalist because they they won’t Do their job. On January 6, there’s a million stories that go against. The narrative machine’s “truths,” and they won’t cover it. And what you need to know is the Washington Post, the New York Times, all the cable news networks. So call them that. That’s the big media, right? The big media, they all are in the tank for the narrative machine. And the great thing is the Washington Post has been so spending so much money. Huge numbers of staff and all this kind of stuff is it’s not a business model that works. People won’t pay For that stuff, they may be. Brainwashed by it, they may be persuaded by it. They may be lied to and not realize the truth because of it. But they’re not paying for it. Nobody wants to pay for it. It’s it’s great. It’s one of the great things about it. It’s sort of natural in your heart. You don’t want to pay for lies, even if somebody’s telling you it’s the truth. In your heart. You don’t want to pay for negativity. That Washington Post is impossible to read if you’re a someone who loves America or loves the Lord, or, frankly, loves themselves.
And So what you need to know is the Washington Post failing. First of all, it is the beginning of, I would say, the final act of newspapers. Donald Trump resurrected the New York Times because they did digital subscriptions, and they’re becoming basically a web presence CNN long ago is a is a web presence as big, almost as the TV. You know, they get terrible ratings. But they still are. The number 1, 2, 3, 5, top 10 for sure. Websites for news. But the Washington Post, whose business model was supposed to be send the paper? I’ll bring the paper into the influencers in the nation’s capital. They’re dying. That business model is dying. And they have way too many staff and they have way too much spending and they have way too many things, and Bezos hasn’t cared because the owner is Jeff Bezos. He sort of sees it as a vanity project. But even a vanity project, when it doesn’t make money long enough it. And one of the again great things about this it self fulfills. What you don’t want to pay for liars? You don’t want to pay for negativity and then you hear that they’re losing money and you say, oh, it’s not even a good business and people don’t want to be associated with losers. That’s how people are. They don’t want to be associated, don’t want to stand next to losers. They don’t want to subscribe to the losers. They just don’t. Want to do it. And so Washington Post will probably transition into an online presence and they’ll try to make their way there, but they haven’t been that successful at That so far. But the problem is we’re watching right now. The voices on the center right being silenced over and over again. Someone told me George Will wrote a column in the last day or so that asked Tim Scott to step down. Senator Tim Tim Scott to step down from his presidential race and endorse Nikki Haley. And I thought to myself. Where did? Where did George will write it? I actually thought George Will is still writing. And it’s in the Washington Post, and I didn’t even know that because they don’t even make news. So they’re not even they’re not. They’re not influencing much of anything, but more importantly, the only voicees allowed on the Washington Post paper or website are never Trumpers, Anti Trumpers. There’s no real conservatives in, America first, conservatives or anything else. And if they let you be on there as a real conservative. They try to make you into a cartoon character, so you look out of place out of the mainstream again. That’s the Old Joe Biden trick to say you’re extremist. You’re an extremist. But so Tucker’s gone, you know, off of Cable Fox News. You know there’s nobody on CNN, there’s nobody on MSNBC, there’s no, they said they were gonna balance CNN. You know, they were gonna put in a new guy. And he was gonna try to balance it. That didn’t happen. They got rid of some of the dead weight. That guy that was in there for about a year or less than a year. He he basically was a a guy that had to sweep clean. The new broom sweeps clean and then he got fired himself. But there’s no place where you can get a serious big voice. Conservative voice out there. Rush Limbaugh obviously passed away his his show fragmented. There’s no there’s no real voice.
And my point is that’s not unintentional. The the the. Narrative machine does not want big, strong voices that hold things together. It’s one of the reasons they hate Trump because he’s a big, strong voice. He is the biggest voice on the center, right? He’s the dominant voice, and as long as Trump is around, he’s got the ability to have a huge crowd. And to the to the detriment of of the sort of larger Pro America movement, there’s nobody else. Mark Levin barely registers, Sean Hannity barely registers. I mean, he does a radio show, he does a TV show, Laura Ingraham, but they’re not. They’re not getting the following. They don’t have the oomph. They don’t draw the numbers. They. And here’s a telltale sign. I talked to a friend of mine. Publisher, he told me that Tucker was the one that used to move books. If you had a if you were a guest on Tucker show and you had a book, you Sold books and. He said no one else does it, not Ingram, not Mark Levin. I’m talking to conservative books, but nowhere.
And back to my point here, but what what you need to know is. We’re watching the flailing and failing of the Washington Post and thinking ohh great, there’s voices. There’s a place for more voices.
The problem is the dominant voices are still left of center.
And if you’re right of center, you’re not getting your voice heard.
It’s one of the reasons why. Tucker, excuse me, by Elon Musk, is such a problem for all the powers that be because they can’t control him. And he’s willing to let center right voices be ascended, be big, be loud, be successful. You know, be have a lot, a lot of followers and so you got a guy, you got a guy like Tucker can go over there and succeed, you know, is getting lots of. But he’s not making money. Tucker can’t make money cause he’s still under contract to Fox. So we don’t even know if his model is making money. But we know that his voice is out there, at least, and so my warning is my it, don’t celebrate the end of the Washington Post because you say ohh look, those guys are fake newsers and they’re they’re fading fast.
They’re not going anywhere. Bezos’s got the money and two, the system is still rotten. The system is still broken, the system is still a a narrative machine. And if the Washington Post is less influential. Doesn’t have as big a subscription. It doesn’t. There’s other ways to make it up. There’s other aspects of the The narrative machine that can strengthen it.
And here’s a wild card. We may be getting to the point where the big media. Needs Trump to win because when big when when Trump won and was president, big media got a boost. New York Times discovered they could get hundreds of thousands of digital subscribers just in their opposition to Trump, and CNN had a had a heyday because of opposition to Trump, they may need. A Trump presidency to survive and what is needed, however, is counterweights that are voices on the other side. 115 years ago, I looked it up. Not long ago, in the early 1900s, there in Saint Louis, where I’m from, there were like 25 newspapers. There was one conservative German daily. There was one liberal German daily. There was one conservative Protestant weekly. There was one conservative Catholic well. There was all sorts of voices. Each one had their voice, and it included the whole thing. They they. Didn’t pretend that they weren’t biased. We may be headed that way, except right now the narrative machine doesn’t allow any of the conservative voices to surge to be a Counterweight to the to The broader liberal culture. We gotta take a break. That’s what you need to know. Ed Martin here on The Pro America Report, back in a moment.
