Welcome. Welcome, welcome. Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report. Great to be together. In just a few moments, we will talk with Sam Brownback. Ambassador Sam Brownback I’ve been looking forward to talking with him, as I was reviewing I’ll mention this to him. He has one of the more extraordinary records in American life, and by record, I mean biographies, I guess I’d say, or public positions he’s held. He was a very young cabinet level secretary in Kansas, where he’s from, I think a director of agriculture. Then during that time, he was a White House fellow, which is kind of a big, important job, a one year assignment. Then he served as a congressman in the House. Then he served as a senator. Then he went home and served as governor for eight years and signed some great bills there. And then he was the ambassador, most recently in the Trump administration. So he’s had this extraordinary career. We’ll talk with him then, and also we’ll get an update from Todd Bensman. In fact, I’ll be replaying my interview with him. It’s really the best description of what’s happening at the border, and I’ve heard people ask me about it, so I’m going to run it again.
But listen, what you need to know right now we just got a short segment because I’m going to save the time. I’ve got Todd’s a long interview, but also save some time with the ambassador, ambassador Sam Brownback.
But the monkeypox scandal, right? What you need to know is we’re being I don’t know what the word is. We’re being toyed with again. It’s disingenuous. Again, the experts are declaring or the experts have given the Fodder to the president and to governors to declare an emergency, a national emergency, a statewide emergency in some states, but we’re not hearing monkeypox sounds horrendous. It sounds absolutely terrifying. But there’s a couple of things.
One, I don’t believe monkeypox is deadly. It may lead to some people being so sick they could die, but I don’t believe it’s deadly. So when you call something monkeypox after we had a pandemic, you’ve got to at least explain where we are on the spectrum here.
But here’s the real terrible reality that no one is saying. I mean, we’re being lied to because they’re being politically correct. Monkeypox is spread by and large as a communicable disease amongst homosexual men who are having multiple partners. Now, by the way, I’m not saying that makes it okay. It’s still a terrible disease. We should treat it. I’m not saying anything other than why isn’t that being told to us?
It is true there are some children that get monkeypox. It is true that there are some senior citizens, women that get it. But by and large, by massive percentage, the way to avoid monkeypox is to avoid the sexual activity that happens among gay men.
I mean, you go look at this and you can see. So we’re being told it’s a national emergency when it’s quite literally is not a deadly disease. Not deadly. And it’s easier to control among the people that we know spread it.
So if you wanted a way to kill the credibility of science and the combination of science and government together, if you wanted a way to kill their credibility even more after all this time, this is a great way to do it. It’s terrible and so misleading.
So, all right, we’ve got to run. We’ll take a break. We’ll be back. We got Ambassador Sam Brownback and an update from Todd Bensman. Be back in a moment. It’s Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report. Be back in a moment.
