This is The Pro America Report with Ed Martin. Welcome. Welcome, welcome! Ed Martin here on The Pro America Report. Great to be together. I hope you had a great weekend. We got a lot happening. I should remind you.
I should tell you, I’m doing a special podcast once every couple of weeks called Life Matters on the pro life issues. I’ll put that up on social media so you can see it my idea there is we’re coming up to one of the most important landmark dates in the American fight over abortion. And that is going to be either June 30 is my bet, could be July 1. But the end of June is when the Supreme l stawill issue a decision in the Dobbs case, the Mississippi case. And so the Mississippi case is basically about a heartbeat Bill, and it’s going to be a big deal. And so I thought I ought to start talking in a way that we could all kind of build some understanding about what’s at stake, what’s possible, what’s going to happen after a decision. Hopefully, it’s a great decision in the direction of defending life. But we’ll see. So Life Matters is what it’s called. I’ll make sure to post it over on social media. Okay.
Today we’ve got a couple of great interviews, as usual. I’m always so honored that we get such great guests and grateful for a chance to have them on the show. And last week, I will tell you, I interviewed one of the guests. I recorded it ahead of time with Shane Schoeller. Shane Schoeller is the clerk of Green County is in Missouri, Springfield area. Springfield, Missouri. He’s an old friend of mine. We talk about election integrity issues. You’re going to like this interview, and he’s a very good man. But I got to tell you, this issue is going to come back stronger and stronger. So tune in.
All right. What is on tap for today? And we have got an issue where we have to discuss the Hunter Biden situation. And so Hunter Biden, as you know, has now sort of made the news completely because he has a laptop. I think it was actually three laptops that have been the one that’s at the heart of this has been confirmed as true. So it was discounted by the media, big tech and big media, as well as big government as Russian disinformation right before the election in 2020, the New York Post was silenced. Individuals were silenced. It became a big deal. It was an indication that you were just not a serious person. You were a nut if you talked about it.
Well, now, whatever, 15 months later, 20 months later, it’s been confirmed as legitimate. True. Verified is the term, the New York Times said. So Hunter Biden’s laptop is verified. It’s got terrible photos and videos on it of him in various difficult times. Nothing to celebrate there and nothing to probably see there. It might have been illegal conduct, but hard to prove that and probably not even worth discussing.
But there were also lots of emails, and the emails now have also been verified. And so now the emails have Hunter Biden, his uncle Joe Biden’s brother, and Joe Biden in some way talking about what looks like a business. Now what is the business?
Well, it could be illegal, but it’s certainly influence pedaling, which influence pedaling is a term that’s used for lobbying and other ideas where you use you pay someone to help influence things. It’s not always illegal because if it’s I don’t know, disclosed if it’s a part of ongoing activity. I guess my point is, saying that word, influence peddling, it sounds terrible. It should. It’s clearly using your office to have preference. But is it illegal? Probably not. Many times, let’s say that someone calls up and says, I want to take you to dinner. Congressman takes the congressman to dinner, has a beautiful dinner, all kinds of things. It’s great. And in the middle of the dinner says, hey, by the way, my son is applying to the Naval Academy. Can you help him get in? He says, oh, yeah, I’ll take a look. Is that influenced peddling? Probably. Is it illegal? Probably not. I don’t think so. Is it fair if you’re a normal person, you’re trying to get into the Naval Academy and the people getting in are regularly sort of the people who influence the congressman? Probably not.
But that’s kind of what politics is. And people can elect or unelect or elect new people if they want, replace people if they don’t like them.
That’s not what we’re seeing with the Hunter Biden laptop. We’re seeing influence peddling at the highest level, at the highest amounts of money. And now we’re going to find out what that is. So why am I talking about that? Again, we talked about it last week.
Well, over the weekend, the story’s out that Hunter Biden is living in Malibu, where he is an artist. And because he needs protection from the Secret Service, they have to rent a place next door to his and it cost $30,000 a month, at least that’s reported so. Now I don’t actually begrudging that. I think you have to guard the family of a President and a Vice President, for that matter, and others because otherwise you’re putting yourself in a position where someone could get hurt and it could be really problematic. So it is a lot of money.
But let’s be honest about why he’s living in Malibu in a mansion. First of all, it looks like he made a lot of money being an influence peddler, but also he’s an artist and he has a big home with a separate building for his artwork. And he’s an artist now. Remember, he’s selling his art for close to half a million dollars apiece, again, reported to people, and they’re not disclosing who buys them. And so we have a situation where the son of a sitting President is selling his artwork. I believe Ivanka Trump might have been selling some handbags and then divested in her company, but the handbag that went for $100 at least had a value somewhere near $100. Does Hunter Biden’s artwork really have a value of $500,000, or is the value based on the influence pedaling?
And isn’t it kind of crazy that it’s a similar kind of racket as the Clintons who had the Clinton Foundation, where you’d give them millions and tens of millions to be at the big table. So we have this growing appetite in the media to cover what is the really deeply disturbing facts about Hunter Biden. And the question becomes, why?
And my sense of it is that I think the Democrats have gotten tired of Biden or I think maybe the media has. I mean, until now, they actively covered these things up. They made sure to not cover the laptop. They made sure to not cover these conflicts of interest. And now we’re seeing one after another stories and the emails that are verified by The New York Times. They have Joe Biden’s brother who is a lobbyist, and I think he’s a lawyer who has his own law firm. I think he’s a lawyer in a law firm that does plaintiffs work. I’m not even sure I shouldn’t have said that. Maybe he’s not a formal lobbyist, but obviously in the world, that is the swamp when you’re elected to go to the US Senate when you’re 30 years old. I think it might be how old Joe Biden was. His sister became his campaign manager. His brother opened a law firm. His sons went to Yale, and then they became lawyers and became politicians. The overlapping of your family in what’s called, quote, the family business is pretty clear. If you just said, could we get a tally of how much Joe Biden’s sister was paid to be a consultant and campaign manager to his many campaigns? I would say she made millions of dollars. Right? And again, it’s not illegal. And if the people of Delaware got sick of it, they could vote him out, right? If they got sick of a politician who was just not representing them, they could vote him out. Now, it’s harder than it sounds, but you get the point that’s the system it’s not illegal.
But now we have a sitting US President, and we have repeated allegations in these emails of relationships with Ukraine and gas companies and et cetera, et cetera. And Joe Biden looking unsteady on his feet, frequently saying some things and having to walk them back or his administration does. It’s getting increasingly obvious to me that the gloves are coming off on Joe Biden now. What do I mean? I’m not sure it means anything because there’s going to be an election in the fall. I’m not sure. I don’t think they’re going to remove, I don’t think the Democrats are going to remove Joe Biden, but they’re clearly weakening him. And what you need to know is nothing happens in the swamp that’s not for a reason. If they needed to keep covering up Joe Biden, they would have. There’s nothing as shameless as what happened with the Hunter Biden laptop right before the election? The stakes were too high. They had to cover it up, and they did a heck of a job. Big tech, big media, big government, forced a narrative on the country Russian disinformation and made the cost of disagreeing with their assessment. Their narrative so high, everybody ran for the hills very quickly, by the way, sort of like what they did with the election.
The election finishes. People say, wait a second. In five or six jurisdictions, five or six States, but specifically in Montgomery County, in Maricopa County, a few places, Wisconsin, Georgia. We see something funny. Oh, no. If you say that the narrative machine is going to shut you down, you are an insurrectionist, someone who is not accepting the government is accepting what’s great in this country. If you object, courts have not found anything. Well, I agree. Courts haven’t found any. But people still have a feeling that something’s wrong. Just like they had a feeling that Hunter Biden’s laptop was real. And just because the 51 experts said the intelligence community experts said it’s Russian disinformation, I don’t think people really knew. They weren’t sure about that. But there we are.
Well, now we have 51 experts, many more than that, saying there was nothing in the elections to worry about.
But don’t look too close. You’re not allowed to be transparent. You’re not allowed to see what’s happened. You just have to move on anyway. So what you need to know right now is the attention to Hunter Biden, the cost of his secret service contingent, his conflict of interest on his artwork, his laptop, and now the emails. It certainly seems like the powers that be in the swamp or a certain number of them have given up on protecting Joe Biden.
Doesn’t it seem that way? That’s what you need to know right now. Seems that way to me. I think that’s coming.
All right, we’ll take a break. Come back. We got a lot of great guests and we’ll talk a little election integrity and a lot more. It’s Ed Martin here on the Pro America Report. We’ll be back in a moment.
