EPA Wants To Ditch Most New Gas Cars In 9 Years
Washington, D.C.: “The EPA announced an absolutely ludicrous goal this week for consumer cars,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Their proposed rule would demand that 67% of new passenger vehicles are electric by 2032. That’s a jump of 5.6% sales to 67% in less than ten years!
“It would sound insane if it weren’t so purposeful. The EPA is a chief weapon of the Administrative State to bankrupt Americans and shove our economy past the point of being able to recover. This is the cutting edge of the radical green agenda. By any standard, even to those proponents of moving toward ‘renewable’ energy, this is a radical and unfeasible regulation.
“It’s time for the House to slash the EPA’s funding before they can destroy American jobs and household budgets further. The energy concerns of our nation can be met by other agencies. The EPA serves as a chief example of unnecessary bureaucracy! It ought to be disbanded altogether before they are allowed to drive the final nail in the coffin of American manufacturing and end the livelihood of working Americans.”
