Washington, D.C.: “It’s hard to keep track of all the lies our government has told us about Covid,” said Ed Martin, President of the Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “Even worse, Dr. Deborah Birx’s new book tells us that lying was part of the Covid-19 response strategy from the very beginning.”
Dr. Birx, who served as part of the Trump administration’s Covid response team, has published a new book, Silent Invasion. It details the early days of the Covid response and her advisory role in the White House in early 2020.
Martin continued, “It’s astonishing that Birx admits that, because of the limited data the CDC had available, her recommendations were arbitrary and primarily based on speculation despite being presented as factual! To be clear, I’m not shocked that her advice wasn’t based on science, I’m shocked that she’s admitting it in print! She even goes as far as to mask it as ‘strategic sleight of hand.’
“This should tell you that the government thinks we’re too dumb to make our own decisions. They barely knew better than the rest of us what to do about Covid, yet their draconian lockdowns closed churches, tanked the economy, and forced Americans to miss the funerals of loved ones. These executive branch elites, including Dr. Birx, must be held accountable for their deception of President Trump and of We the People.”
