Much Further Than Just Special Master Review, Judge Decries FBI Conduct
Washington, D.C.: “U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon ordered a special master this week to review the FBI’s raid on Donald Trump’s private residence, but her order is only the opening act of corruption discovery against the DOJ,” said Phyllis Schlafly Eagles President Ed Martin. “Judge Cannon’s order makes clear that she is not remotely convinced by the DOJ’s arguments that they conducted this evidence seizure in a manner that follows protocol or protects Trump’s constitutional rights.
“At this point the failure of the FBI’s methods is clear, and the case that many of us have made is becoming more concrete: this persecution of Trump is a political prosecution spun up by the Biden Administration. Amid Cannon’s rather scathing review of the FBI and DOJ’s conduct, she acknowledged one very important fact. That is, that at base in this probe was the National Archives’ ‘providing the FBI access to the records in question, as requested by the incumbent President.’
“Plainly stated, she understands and has confirmed that Joe Biden gave the instruction to launch a criminal probe of his predecessor and rival. This is absolutely outrageous! Quite literally all of the corruption the left is accusing President Trump of committing is exactly what they are doing right now. Their hypocrisy is stunning, and their ejection from power must be equally epic and swift.”
