Washington, D.C.: “Joe Biden is trying to buy the midterm elections for Democrats by selling Americans their own emergency supplies,” said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. “For weeks now, the Biden White House has been flushing millions of barrels out of our Strategic Petroleum Reserve. This week the White House announced another 10-15 million more barrels are to be released before the midterm elections. He can try to make Americans less mad at Democrats while they pump gas, but it’s not a sustainable strategy.
“In fact, it’s not even working. Even while old Joe gives a few pennies of relief to working Americans, voters know who’s causing their economic woes. It’s all due to the radical leftist agenda to end the American energy industry. This throwing a few million barrels at us right before the midterms is more insulting than the mortgaging that both parties have already done to our children and grandchildren’s futures.
“Our emergency stockpile of petroleum is not an election ploy or a bargaining tool, but the Biden Administration is treating it like some marketing campaign. This frivolous abuse of our nation’s emergency supply is just the added insult to the injury of Biden’s massive failings at strong arming the Saudi’s. The man who promised to bring such unity, stability, and integrity to America has almost single-handedly destroyed the U.S. economy and committed all the crimes of which he baselessly accused his predecessor.
“Joe Biden is an embarrassment who is driving our nation off the rails. Americans must respond accordingly at the ballot box this fall.”
