The White House releases an annual report to Congress detailing key information about White House staff. As the keepers of the federal purse strings, Congress has a right to know how much money is being spent on White House staff and how those funds are being allocated. As a result, the American people have the unique opportunity to get an insider look at the management style of our presidents.
President Biden created the largest payrolls in the history of the White House, topping five hundred staffers for the first time ever in his first year in office and again in his third. That’s 108 more than Trump at a total of 524 staffers. All this staffing in Biden’s White House is costing taxpayers $52.7 million, which is millions more than any year under President Trump.
Another interesting factor to consider is how that money is being allocated. All modern presidents have “czars,” or policy staffers with specific areas of focus. Biden’s czars cover many of the hot-button liberal buzzwords, including gender and climate. Salaries for these advisors range up to $132,500. Other staffers include a COVID-19 advisor still making $183,500 even after Biden declared COVID to be over, plus twenty staffers for First Lady Jill Biden. For reference, Melania Trump’s staff fluctuated between 5 and 12 employees.
Still, the most shocking part of this White House report is the shameless hypocrisy of the Biden Administration. They taunt Donald Trump for the turnover at his White House, yet their turnover is 10% higher than at the same point in Trump’s presidency, coming in at a whopping 46% turnover in the last year. On top of that, the same White House that preaches constantly about the phony gender pay gap pays their own female staffers less than male staffers on average. If you want to know how Biden’s White House operates, don’t listen to what they say. Look at what they do. The truth is shocking.
